Akili was born as the only cub to a lioness of the Majali Pride and a rogue. Akili was loved very much by her mother. The young cub was very curious and adventurous going off to explore everyday getting in trouble and getting scolled by her mother.

When she turned into a teen, Akili was a very beautiful lioness making some pridemembers jealous. Akili was a great hunter never needing help with anything. Akili was very happy but that soon took it's course. One night a pridelioness was missing and found dead the very next day. Another pridelioness, who was very jealous of Akili's beauty, blamed Akili and Akili was exiled never to see her mother again.

Still a young lioness it was hard for Akili to live on her own. Soon she longed for company, someone she could count on and stay with her. It didn't took long before she bumped into Chaka.
