Name (meaning 'look')
Parents: Naanda and Unknown Male
Siblings: Ainran
Mate: Kifaa
Cubs: None
Pride of Origin: Bahari
Personality: Onani is a lot more happy-go-lucky than his brother Ainran. He can be goofy and a little uncertain when it comes to strangers but he has his heart in the right place. He viewed his banishment as a chance to make a better life for himself away from the stigma of the Bahari Pride and from his mother's memory.
History: Onani was the second son of Naanda and younger brother to Ainran. Born not long after the Bahari Pride reclaimed their old lands from the Jabali Pride. Almost immediately, Naanda cast her younger son away because he wasn't as useful to her as his elder brother. Onani didn't understand why his mother didn't want much to do with him. Instead, Onani was raised by the whole pride who looked down on Naanda for abandoning one cub over the other. Despit his mother's indifference, Onani was very close with Ainran and loved his brother completely.
Onani grew close to the former queen Neema, prefering to spend time with her and listen to stories. He came to think of her as his grandmother because his own mother refused to have anything to do with him.
Onani's life was changed forever when Naanda attacked the pregnant Queen Adla and was killed in the attempt. Even though King Kamaji knew that Onani and his brother Ainran had nothing to do with it, the two young lions were banished and told never to retun to their homeland.
Onani split away from his brother and travelled west, over the mountains and ended up in the lands of the Nyasi Pride. It was here that he ran across the Crown Princess, Kifaa, and fell in love with her almost immediately. To his joy, Kifaa fell in love with him as well even though she already had a mate who she viewed only as a brother.
However, Onani's happiness wasn't to last. He had to flee the plains when he was discovered by Kifaa's father Makwetu. He escaped with his life and knew that Kifaa was travelling to the Pridelands. He hopes he can meet up with her again there.
