Bio:
Nala worried for her son the moment he was born. Despite the red tail tuft, the toothless smile and the pale fur, the first trueborn son of Simba and Nala resembled too much of his great-uncle. His bright green eyes and black, outlandish nose gave him a dark look, and her beloved was only just recovering from the death of his uncle. True, he'd been a tyrant and a murderer, but he was family all the same, and it would hurt to look at a mirror of Taka.
So she went to the Eastlands, where the blood of the Consort Ahadi reigned over the land. The King there, Maliki's son Kataa, welcomed her as her cousin, and was eager to hear what she had to say. She asked him is she would be willing to foster Siri in the Eastlands for a while, keep him as their own son until their own heirs were born. He wouldn't be heir apparent, but he would still be safe. To her despair, Kataa refused, and the Queen left.
On her way home, Nala was confronted by a mated pair of cheetahs who'd overheard her conversation with King Kataa, and asked if they might foster the child. The female, Narua, was having trouble concieving, and would welcome a child greatly, lion or no. Nala considered this, then agreed. The cheetahs were by in a matter of days to collect their new foster son, and no words could sum up their joy, or Nala's anguish.
There was no doubt about it; Narua and her mate Asubuhi loved Siri, and he them, but he couldn't help but feel out of place. They taught him to hunt, to be alone on the plains, and taught him the lore of the lions, as opposed to their own cheetah lore, but one question was lingering on his young mind: why was he so different? He was nearing adolescence, and he was growing a fur tuft on his head the same colour as his tail, and he had no spots like the cheetahs. They finally spoke to him about his true parentage, and as shocked as he was, it did nothing to alter how he felt about his foster family.
As was custom, he left his parents as soon as he came of Age, and struck out into the big wide world. He stayed near his parents' home, not wanting to leave them behind altogether, and they were happy to have him visit often. On one visit though, he discovered that King Kataa's lionesses had stumbled upon the cheetah den, and Narua had attacked them, having birthed a litter not long ago and, out of instinct, tried to kill them as soon as they'd shown interest in her cubs. Narua had been killed, her throat torn out and her cubs had been mauled. Asubuhi lay dying on the ground and begged him to leave, and so he did, but not without burying his family first.
He lived alone for some time in the wild, and when he was nearing middle-age, Nala came to him. At first, he didn't recognise her, but soon warmed up to her and was delighted to speak to her. The ageing former Queen told him that she was birthing a litter, and that the effort may kill her, old as she was. She asked him to watch out for her cubs, whether she lived or not, and he swore on his life that he would not let them come to harm. The litter did not kill her, and Siri was pleased to hear that he had a little brother, Adhumita.
Watching from afar, Siri studied his brother and learned that even though he had many friends, Kovu always had an eye on him, as though he wanted rid of him. He tried to alternate between watching Adhumita and watching Kovu, and when his little brother reached late adolescence, and Nala was killed birthing Kovu's cubs, he prayed for Adhumita to leave; there would be nothing standing between Kovu and the boy now that his mother was dead. When he heard rumours that Nala's son had fled the Pridelands, he was instantly on the lookout, and made sure to follow his brother's progress. Adhumita was a messy hunter at best, and was a terrible fighter; it had taken a group of males no time at all to drive him out of a waterhole.
Adhumita finally collapsed in a cave, and Siri brought him food and water while he was unconcious. When his brother came to, Siri introduced himself, and their uneasy relationship was born, Siri learned that Adhumita was very gentle and enthusiastic, and the older lion decided to teach him how to survive. While tutoring his brother, Siri found his company to be rather nice, and Adhumita showed no interest in leaving, which made it even better.
His one problem with Adhumita was how easy it was for him to fall in love. The girl had been mauled and left for dead, her eyes torn out and gaping wounds spread here and there. Siri treated the lioness, Lešôkô, as she was called, and was horrified to learn that she was a a spy for Katili's Pride, allowing her to be torn to shreds to get the support of Kopa's siblings and kill them. Katili suppported Kiara and believed that Kopa was a pretender to the throne, and that all who believed him to be the rightful King should be killed. Of course, Lešôkô never let Adhumita onto her plot, and pretended to be a frightened, insecure victim in need of some TLC. Siri confronted his brother, but Adhumita would have none of it.
Eventually though, Adhumita payed the price. Siri was killed, torn to shreds while Adumita and Lešôkô were taking a walk. Who was the fool now? His last thoughts were of his brother, silently praying that he would find out who Lešôkô truly was.
