Biography

Kumal was second born next to his older brother Moyo. As being second born he had no royal training to attend to, so he was being trained by Vitani to one day lead the future Lion Guard. Upon hearing he will actually be a leader at something someday he promised to work hard at becoming a valued leader. When Kumal wasn’t training he loved spending time with his family, especially his big brother Moyo. They were very close and sometimes Moyo would ask if Kumal could join in on some royal training. Father Kovu didn’t mind and from time to time all 3 would go out and learn together.

Although one day tragedy struck. The Pridelands has suspiciously caught fire which sent all of them running back to Pride Rock. All 3 got stuck in the middle of all of it, but their father wouldn’t let them die, upon seeing a small cliff that lead to safety. Kumal’s father threw both cubs up there but after taking on too much smoke inhalation, he eventually met his end. Kumal didn’t take it too hard as an extreme like his brother did and was able to overcome and accept Kovu was gone.

By time Kumal hit his adulthood he came across a beautiful lioness from the Eastward Lands as they were all visiting in hoping his brother would be choosing a queen. Serena wasn’t an option but came anyway. Kumal fell head over heels for her and before he knew it, she decided to join him in the Pridelands as his mate. Kumal and Serena were given the role as a stand in until his brother Moyo could make up his mind on what he wanted. Kumal wasn't all for it because he didn't know nothing about being a king, he never was given any training and loved what he did now. But since his mother was ready to retire from her postion he decided her would but will continue trying to push his brother to take place as king. 

Not long after Kumal and Serena took over as king and queen, Kumal was blessed with a suprise cub upon which him and Serena named "Tanga" since it meant freckle because of the how the spots on her face alined. Although he was in major shock about it he loved her, and vowed to protect her at all cause.
