Zira told Rengra that if she wants to become queen she had to challenge her brother and father. Rengra trained for houres wanting to become queen and overthrow her father and kill both him and Monmata. As Rengra grew older Zira's spirit began to take over Rengra's body.

Rengra plotted her revenge, Zira told her that she needed someone to enter the pride and kill Akoni and Monmata so Rengra could take the throne. Rengra searghed for a mate to produce cubs with. She stumled upon a rogue whom she "fell in love with" and became pregnant with his cubs. However Rengra was daily abused by her mate beaten everyday even when she was pregnant.
