History:

Maik was born of two happy rogues.

The rogues were young, and so in love. Maik was their first born cub.

The two rogues were never happier to have had a cub. They might not have been ready, physically, but mentally they were ready for the task. Or so they thought.

Maik, as a young cub, had a rogue cubhood. His parents couldn't find food often enough, and Maik was often found hungry for days before having a decent meal.

Times were tough as rogues with a new cub.

Maik's mother grew unattached to her once perfect mate. She found herself indulging herself with another male.

Maik, aware of what was going on, never mentioned anything to his father - of fear that his father might hurt his mother.

But a couple seasons passed, and Maik's father found out the hard way. He had caught his mate cheating!

Maik's father got into a fight with the male, and it was without say that Maik's parents had split.

But they wanted what was in the best interest for their cub, so as they worked out their problems, Maik stayed with his grandfather from his mothers side.

His grandfather was a rogue as well, but a very strong one. He was capable of feeding his grandson, and he loved his grandson more than anything.

Many seasons had passed and Maik was now a young adult. He still lived with his grandfather, though he often visited both his parents. Whom were still separated, but now happily moved on with their lives.

His mother was happily living with the male she once had an affair with, they lived within the borders of Simba's Pridelands, coming and going as they please. Her and her new mate had two cubs together, both females. Maik was very close to his two younger sisters. They both looked up to their brother dearly.

His father, on the other hand, remarried to a lioness. Although they never had any cubs together, Maik's father gained a few children-in-laws. From his new brides previous mate. They were all adults, older then Maik. Maik never really knew any of his brother-in-laws very well.

Maik grew up to be a very strong, very loyal lion. He was a great hunter, and learned to cherish your life. For you only have one.

His grandfather was very wise, and taught Maik a lot to learn about life. Maik looked up to his grandfather, as the greatest father figure there could be. Maik and his grandfather did everything together.

But sadly, Maiks grandfather was growing too old. He was having trouble fending for himself. So Maik and his grandfather thought it would be for the best interest if they relocated themselves to live with Maik's mother.

Maik's mother happily accepted Maik and her father into their small den. Maik enjoyed living with his family, his young sisters and mother. He realized how much he actually took after his mother. His life was perfect, just when he thought it couldn't get any more perfect.. he was proven wrong.

Upon a routine trip to the watering hole one morning, he met a beautiful lioness. He instantly fell in love with her, her beautiful green eyes drew him in.

He was a shy lion, and didn't know how to go apart telling her. Luckily, she wasn't as shy.

The beautiful lioness agreed to meet Maik the same place the next morning, so they could get to know eachother better. Maik was thrilled.

They had their routine meetings every day for a whole season before Maik and the lioness confessed their love for one another.

Maik and Shyari were now mates, and very happy with their new lives.

Maik and Shyari lived within Simba's Pridelands, not too far from Maik's mothers den. Maik and Shyari lived in a cozy little thicket.

Many seasons passed, and Maik and Shyari grew more and more in love. They tried endlessly to concieve a cub, but sadly, it was no use. Shyari was not capable of bearing cubs. Maik and Shyari were both sadenned, they both wanted a family of their own. Maik and Shyari always dreamed of one day having a cub. Shyari went through a slight depression, but Maik helped her through it.

Maik and Shyari visited Maik's family often, and Shyari was accepted into it with open arms. Everyone loved Shyari. Especially Maik's grandfather. Maik's grandfather was overjoyed seeing his grandson happy with a lioness. He was happy his grandson had picked a fine, sweet lioness to be his mate. He just wished they could have cubs so he could have great-grand-cubs. But fate had something else in store..

Maik and Shyari just arrived home to their thicket one day, when Maik's mother came barging in. She was very upset, and tears overwhelmed her. Maik could tell instantly that something was wrong. Frantic, he needed to know what.

It turns out, Maik's grandfather passed away that very day.

Maik was devastated, the only male he actually thought to be his father.. was gone. Maik went into a deep depression.

Maik spent most his days at his mothers den. Leaving Shyari alone at the thicket. Maik could think of nothing more but his grandfather. He wished he could have helped him.. been there when he died. He put the guilt on himself. If I was there.. I could have helped him! Maik just wished his grandfather was there with him still.

Shyari, herself was growing depressed due to the fact her mate no longer gave her attention. Shyari wanted her mate to feel better and tried endlessly to comfort him. It took a year before she could actually see her mate smile again.

Maik's numbness was slowly fading, and even though the memories of his grandfather remain vivid, he knew it was for the best to put it aside. His grandfather was in a better place. He knew that now.

Maik and his bride became lovey again. He loved being with his mate, he loved every last thing about her.

A few seasons passed, and Shyari had some news that changed Maik's world.

Shyari and Maik... were expecting a cub!

Maik was floored with excitement. He was finally going to be a father.

For some extra shelter and protection for his family, he joined a pride of all rogue lions who went from prideland to prideland protecting the pridelands from hyenas and other dangers. This group of lions were strong and very family-oriented. They took Maikeru and Shyari into their family.

Shyari had her whole pregnancy sheltered and happy.

One morning Shyari went into labor and gave birth to a beautiful female cub. She was the perfect mix of her mother and father, but with big blue eyes.

Maikeru and Shyari were so happy, and finally felt complete with their new family.

Seasons passed, Shyari and Maikeru grew used to the new family, and the feeling of being parents. Their cub was growing so fast.

That's when Shyari brought some more news..

She was expecting yet another cub..
