History: Kafil was born in a large pride. He was the second son of his parents, so therefor the middle child. Rasul, his older brother, was just a cub when Kafil was born so he enjoyed the idea of having a younger brother. He was very protective over him, however. Rasul would constantly ask how Kafil was each day when he was just an infant.
As a cub, Kafil was very known for being really shy. He’d rather stay by his mother’s side than go running off with the other cubs, which were most likely going to get into some kind of danger. He wasn’t very outgoing and preferred to stay with family. He made a few close friends, whom he was very loyal to, but Kafil just never saw the point to having so many friends. He enjoyed his quiet life. Kafil had always had a fear, or many fears, so he often looked up to his father, who he did not believe had any fears.
Soon, Kafil was surprised with the news of another cub. He was very excited and it turned out to be his only sister. Her name was Sana and Kafil always looked after her. He loved helping his mother take care of Sana and it seemed from the very first day Sana arrived, Kafil and her were best friends. So, as Sana grew, it wasn’t a surprise that Kafil and Sana did almost everything together. Unlike Kafil ,Sana was energetic and outgoing. Every cub in the pride was her friend, and she helped Kafil meet new friends and be a little more open. In return, Kafil was always there for his little sister. The two talked about everything. Sana and Rasul never got along and they often argued. When that did happen, Kafil was there for his sister and managed to calm her down and make her smile. They were the perfect pair of siblings.
Then, one day, Sana and Rasul got into an argument. She stormed off upset, and Kafil ran after her. The two decided to spend their time far from the others, where Sana could cool off. Sana and Kafil played by the borders of their pride, and when Sana had completely forgot about her argument with Rasul they decided to go back. The two cubs were giggling and smiling the whole way home but when they arrived back they discovered something awful. A horrible fire had started in the pride. Bodies lay everywhere so Sana and Kafil desperately searched for their mother and father. Rasul came charging at them, picking them up, with their mother close behind. The family managed to get out safely but they had no clue where their father was. Kafil stayed by Sana, trying to act as brave as he could. Their father’s body was soon found. He was trying to protect another mother and her two female cubs from the flames when he died. The land was destroyed so the surviving lions were forced to leave and find a new place to live. Sana, Kafil, Rasul, and their mother all left in hopes of finding a new home. Sana kept talking about how her father would like to change a new place to live because he was always up for an adventure. Kafil didn’t say anything but just comforted her until she stopped mentioning him every few minutes.
It wasn’t long before the family discovered the Pride Lands. Kafil and Sana were excited to explore the beautiful new land. Rasul kept a watchful eye on them while their mother went to speak to the Pride Landers. The king, Mufasa, heard the family’s story and knew he had to do something. He welcomed them to the Pride Lands. Kafil had first met Simba, the prince of the Pride Lands who was only a bit older than him, but, of course, Kafil was shy around meeting him but he did want a new friend. Sana was a bit more adventurous when meeting new people. She didn’t mind introducing herself in front of a lot of the Pride Landers, which Kafil thought was brave and the adults just thought it was cute. Kafil went off to go get some water, and Sana was not with him for once, when he ran into another cub. He introduced himself as Chumvi. The two cubs talked for a while and just instantly connected. Kafil introduced Chumvi to Sana. The three cubs did everything together and Chumvi often showed the around the whole Pride Lands. Life was going great in their new home. Chumvi introduced them to Nala, Kula, Tama, and Simba. Kafil and Chumvi became best friends who always hung out, but of course Sana and the others were there too.
One day, Chumvi, Sana, and Kafil were out exploring by the mountains. Sana raced ahead, despite Kafil’s warning. Suddenly, a lioness cub came stumbling down the hill and ran into Kafil. She quickly apologized for running into him, but Kafil didn’t mind. She said her name was Neema and she was from the pride just over the mountain. She apparently was looking for her older brother, Malka, who likes playing around the mountains. Chumvi went to find Sana while Kafil and Neema had a long fun conversation. When Chumvi and Sana returned, Kafil told Neema he’d love to see her again and she agreed. But when the cubs returned home, they received horrible news. Mufasa and Simba had died. The Pride Land was depressing but Scar, Mufasa’s brother, decided to step in and take the throne. He introduced the hyenas to the Pride Lands, explaining that they could share food. Rasul and other young adult male lions told Scar he was crazy because the hyenas would take more than necessary. Scar, fearing that the young strong male lions could overthrow him, decided to exile all adult males. He didn’t care about the young cub males, just in case one showed the makings of a prince. Rasul was forced out of the Pride Lands. Kafil had a fit when Rasul left. He needed his older brother and looked up to him. Their mother decided the Pride Lands wasn’t the best place to be anymore. She requested to leave, since Mufasa had told her she could leave anytime she wanted to, but Scar wouldn’t let her. The family did not give up, however, and decided to escape during the night. They were almost past the borders when Scar noticed them and sent hyenas after them. Kafil and Sana were grabbed by something and when they looked up, it was Rasul. They ran out together, but their mother was not so lucky. She was attacked by the hyenas and killed. Rasul took Kafil and Sana away to where the other exiled males were living. Kafil missed his mother and hated not being able to help. He took advice from the strong young exiled males, who told him all about being brave and getting stronger. While Kafil was learning to be like Rasul, brave, strong, and courageous, Sana and Rasul were finally warming up to each other.
As time went on, Kafil grew into a healthy handsome teenager. He had changed a lot over the years so when Sana decided it was time to fight back, he agreed with her. He wasn’t the same helpless cub he once was and he was ready to take Scar down. Sana, Rasul, and Kafil lead the exiled males, who wanted to help, to the Pride Lands. Sana ran into Nala, who explained that Simba was alive and trying to overthrow Scar. Sana and Kafil went to organize the other lions to protect Simba. The fight raged on, and Kafil made sure to keep any hyenas away Simba while he fought Scar. Eventually, Simba had won and Scar killed by his own hyenas. He took the throne as rightful king and Kafil cheered him on. Sana and Kafil met up with their old friends, who they had missed. They knew life would get better from there on out. For a while, the siblings stayed in the Pride Lands and helped rebuild the kingdom but Sana decided to go out and travel the world, much like their father wished to do. Rasul understood and let her go, which shocked Kafil. Kafil tried to get her sister to stay with him but, in time, he left her go. With Sana gone, Rasul and Kafil became very close brothers. One day, Kafil was out taking a walk when someone ran into him. The beautiful lioness quickly said how sorry she was, and explained she was extremely clumsy. Kafil didn’t mind, however, and introduced himself. The lioness broke out into a smile when Kafil said his name. She explained that she was Neema, the young cub he met years ago. Kafil and Neema spent a lot of time together and it wasn’t long before they fell in love.
Now, Kafil lives in Neema’s pride but often visits Rasul. He is close friends with Neema’s brother, Malka. Sana visits her brothers whenever she gets the chance to, or when she just misses them, and Kafil is still her favorite person in the world.
