History:

Karloo had a fairly ordinary childhood. She was friends with Simba and Nala, and a cub named Zoni, who became her mate when she was an adult.

Near the end of Scar's reign, Karloo gave birth to a son, whom she named Yearoo. Scar needed an heir, and as none of his own cubs would do, his mate, Zira, wanted to take Yearoo and raise him as her own son so he could be Scar's heir. Karloo refused to let Zira have her son, which angered Zira. Though Zira eventually adopted another cub named Kovu, who then became Scar's heir, she still held a grudge against Karloo. When Simba returned and banished all Scar's followers to the Outlands, Zira, as revenge, convinced him that Karloo was also one of Scar's followers, and so she and Yearoo were banished along with the rest of the Outsiders. Zoni remained in the Pride Lands, and visited Karloo whenever he could.
