Name: Sadaka (meaning 'gift' or 'sacrifice')

Parents: Leo and Nabila

Siblings: Ngosi (half-brother)

Personality: Sadaka is a generally happy lioness, despite her mysterious and somewhat difficult origins she choses to focus on the good. She deeply loves her adoptive family even if it is somewhat dysfunctional and is grateful for everything they gave her. When Sadaka latches onto something she will chase it with everything she has, her inquisitiveness and deterimination are admirable if turned in the right direction. However, she can come off as very naive and awkward around anyone other than her adoptive family.

History: Sadaka was born on the savannah with her half-brother Ngosi. Their mother, Nabila, died not long afterwards and Ngosi was resuced by a pack of wild dogs. Believing Sadaka was dead alongside her mother, she was left alone and she should have died...if it wasn't by chance that she was happened upon by Leo and Gotto. The two recognised what remained of Nabila's corpse and were shocked to discover her curled against her mother's belly and on closer inspection they saw the shallow rise and fall of her chest that the wild dogs had missed.

Unable to bear the thought of leaving an innocent cub to the elements and certain death, they took Sadaka with them but quickly decided to give her away at the first chance they could. Leo left Sadaka with his nephew Ikeena and his friend Reno, who's mate Sauda had given birth to several cubs who were not much older than Sadaka herself. Sauda and Reno agreed to take the cub and she was raised with Sarafina, Abrafo and Gacheru. 

Her time with her adoptive family is something Sadaka would remember fondly in the years to come. It wasn't perfect, Reno was quick to disappear from her life so she barely remembered him, but she came to regard Sauda as her mother even though it was quite clear she wasn't. Sauda never told her of where she came from (mostly because she didn't know the specifics herself) but only told her that her father had left Sadaka in her care. 

When Sadaka was entering adulthood, she bade her family farewell and set off in search of her true parents. She wanted to know why they had given her away and wondered if it was because they didn't love her or was there another reason. She knew there was little chance of finding them on such little information she had but she was determined to try.

Eventually she wandered on the Shadowland Pride and by this point had given up all hopes of finding her parents. There was just too little for her to go on and for all she knew they could both be dead. The Shadowland pride welcomed rogues into their ranks and she too was welcomed warmly.

Never being part of such a large pride before, Sadaka was somewhate overwhelmed by it all. She wasn't the only one and she quickly found friendship in another new member of the pride, Winta. Although they were different in personality, the two became shockingly close very quickly. Sadaka found it difficult to interact with some pride members but Winta was surprisingly patient with her social ineptitude.

Then, one day, Sadaka found herself confronted by a lion who looked a lot like she did...he was searching for the Shadowland Pride as they had commited attrocities to other prides. Sadaka could barely take this in because she knew in her heart who this lion truly was. He was her father and his name was Leo.
