Personality: Richard is a little calmer than his sister, but not by much. He is more likely to think things through and carefully think about what he will say. However, once he is angry Richard will fly at you with no mercy, and does not think things through. He wil also do more damage than his sister, for when it comes to battle, he is only conserned about protecting his pride, his family or his own life. If it was someone he had been friends with all of his life, or someone he quite liked, if they had to die and asked him to kill them, or if they were rouges attacking the pride, he would kill them quickly, like his sister. However, if it is one of his most hated enemys, or someone he wants to suffer, then he will make sure that they have a slow and painful death. Yet, Richard would not wish any harm on his friends or his sister, and would happily kill the one who had caused any harm to them. Richard is very protective of his family, and anyone who thinks that they can harm them is mistaken, because Richard will get his revenge. However, he is not as likely to get angry as his sister, but does jump to conclusions often. Underneath, he is a gentle lion who means no harm

History: Richard and his twin sister were born in the middle of summer. They grew up together and were inseperable. Whenever it was bath time they would have to have a bath together, and shared the same hate for it. They would often try to escape which made Mary's job a lot more difficult than it needed to be. Then the minute it was over Rachel would shoot off like a bullet, with Richard by her side. Within a minute they would have discovered a new place to explore, and then would get into trouble.

One day Rachel and Richard were exploring when they came across the outlands. Rachel, of course, bounded into the forbidden land at once with Richard hot on her tail. While Rachel was sniffing at some boring old bones, Richard was wandering around looking for something interesting when suddenly someone pounced on him. At once his claws flew out and his legs swung wildly in an attempt to scratch him attacker. Then they whispered in his ear. "You shouldn't have come here, now you will die." Richard scratched his attacker's face. Hard. It roared in pain, and Richard bit it's leg. He threw the lion off of him, and saw he was fighting a female. But Richard didn't bother to think about this for too long. He leapt at her again and bit her tail. She roared in pain again, and tried to bite his tail but Richard kept it out of the way. Eventually Richard let go of her tail, only to sink his teeth into her leg. The female began to whimper slightly, and tried to take hold of his tail. But her grip didn't last long, because Richard swung her into the air, causing a few hairs to rip out of his tail, and, while the female was fallling, Richard sprung up and headbutted her hard. She crashed into a rock and Richard pounced on her at once. The female had been knocked unconsious. There was a gasp, and the male that Rachel had been fighting rushed over to them. He grabbed the female by the scruff of her neck and backed away, growling something that Richard couldn't really hear. Richard and Rachel fled once the two were out of sight and bounded over into their own terrirory, unable to believe their luck. What an adventure!

A week later, Richard was strolling past a small cliff, when he heard a roar in the distance. When He looked down, Richard saw no other than the female he had battled a week ago, heading right towards him. For a second Richard thought she was attacking him, then he saw the fear in her eyes, and heard another furious roar. The lioness tried to climb up the small cliff, but she was struggling. And Richard knew that she was being chased when he saw the flash of a mane. He acted quickly. Richard grabbed the lioness by the scruff of her neck and hauled her up besides him. He then gently pushed her into some nearby tall grass and stood at the edge of the cliff, looking sideways. An adult lion looked at  the place where the lioness had been a few seconds ago, but Richard made sure that the only thing the lion saw was him. He trotted calmly towards the patch of tall grass, like he was heading home, and the lion left. Richard checked over his shoulder and bounded across to the lioness, who began washing her paw, avoiding his eyes. "Why was that lion chasing you?" He asked. The lioness looked at him. "Oh, he was just mad because I didn't get this stupid move right." She replied calmly, but Richard could not miss the fear that was still in her eyes. Then she stared at him. "Why did you help me?" She asked cautiously. "I guess I just couldn't stand you looking so afraid." He shrugged. The lioness nodded. "What's your name?" He asked. "Emma." The lioness replied, smiling. "Awesome, I'm Richard." He smiled. Emma suddenly nuzzled him. "Thanks again. You know, we were on orders, me and my brother, to attack anyone who came into our territory, but underneath I really wanted to be friends with you, so, if you ever wanna hang out some time, I'll be here." She purred. Richard nuzzled her back then sprang to his paws. "OK, meet ya hear tomorrow!" He yelled to her as he bounded off to his sister. They crashed into each other, and both had similar news. It turned out that Rachel had met Emma's brother hunting in the pridelands, although she hadn't found out his name. The two padded home together, both talking nineteen to dozen.

The next day Richard sat down and waited for Emma. She soon came into sight, and bounded across the log before sitting next to him. "Cool, your here." Emma smiled. Richard nodded and pounced on her in a playful way. Emma laughed and pretended to fight back. They carried on like this until the sky turned red. "I'd better go, see ya tomorrow!" Emma called and bounded off to the outlands. Richard sighed with happiness and headed back to his mother. Finally Rachel came back at sunset, and the two walked off together to a secret place to talk. It turned out that Emma's brother's name was Lewis.

For a very long time Richard and Emma met in secret, and no one but Lewis and Rachel knew about it, and Richard began to get a small crush on her even though he never knew. But one day they heard a furious roar. Richard grabbed Emma and they hid in the bushes. The two watched Lewis scramble away and Adia stood protectively over Rachel. "I'd better go." Emma whispered in his ear and left. Richard watched them on his own, and silently gasped when Adia said something that he refused to believe. "He will get you to fall in love with him, then he will get you on his side, kill you or kill someone you love." Richard scrambled away, refusing to believe what Adia had said. Yet the next day when Richard waited for Emma he saw no one. On the fith day, Richard was about to give up all hope when he suddenly saw something. Emma was with her trainer, training amazingly hard. It was then Richard understood, she was training to hard to visit him. Richard decided to tell Rachel, but she was acting very strange. True, Rachel did her best to convince everyone that she was fine, and many people believed her, since to them she was acting in the same way, but Richard could not be fooled. He knew that something was up.

While Rachel grew up to be a very pretty young lioness, Richard grew up to be a hansome young lion. He was looking forward to the day that he would see Emma again, and one day he got the chance. While Rachel was out hunting, Richard was wandering around the pridelands when he saw a familiar lioness hunting in his territory. Richard crept up on her and pounced on her, his claws still in. Richardpretended to look hurt when she screamed, then she saw it was him. "Richard!" Emma exclaimed, then laughed. "It's been a long time, Emma." He purred and nuzzled her. He then got off of his cubhood friend and smiled at her. "So, what brings you here?" Emma looked at him. "My brother has come with a warning, and they sent me off to hunt." She explained, her ears down. Richard nuzzled her and told her she was always welcome into the pride. Emma smiled but politely explained that she needed to get back, and with that, she dissapeared into the grass. Richard sighed and raced home, to find Rachel standing next to Lewis.

A few weeks later the rival pride attacked. At first, Richard was willing to fight then began to panic. He had not seen Emma anywhere. Nearby, there was a lion fighting fiercly with Fluffy, Simba's daughter. Richard leapt on the lion, his paw on it's throat. "Where is Emma?" He growled. The lion glared at him. "And if I don't tell you?" He snarled. Richard growled and drew his head back, teeth bared, as if he was going to tear out the lion's throat. He pressed his paw harder. "She was left at home!" The lion coughed. Richard got off of the young male and threw himself at another one who was wrestling with Simba. He quickly ended the lion's life when a scream rang out. The lions began to flee. When everything was clear Richard soon saw something. The leader was dead, and Lewis was lying on the floor, not moving. Rachel was nudging him. Richard quickly guessed that Lewis had been attacked by the leader for being a traitor, and Rachel killed the leader.

Over the days Richard watched silently as Rachel tried to recover Lewis' memory with fail each time. He began to wonder if Rachel would ever be happy again, and if Lewis would ever recover his memory, but never got involved with her life.

A month later Emma came to him with a warning. The new leader was going to force them to fight again, and he would keep fighting until they claimed the pridelands. Richard and Emma told this news to the king, and once again a battle broke out between the two prides the next day. This time Richard saw Emma lined up for battle on his side. As the two prides clashed into battle, Richard fought harder than last time. He then saw Emma was being attacked by four or five lions at once, and flew himself on them. He killed each one quickly, and helped Emma up. She thanked him, and raced off to fight some more. Richard began to search for Rachel, each time being attacked by more enemys that he had to kill or chase off. Finally some of them started to flee, but some stood rooted to the spot, shocked. Their leader was lying on the ground, dead. His sister was crouching over Lewis, who was lying on the ground, seriously hurt. Richard put his ears down as he heard Lewis' dying words, then they shot back up again when his sister whispered something. She was... pregnant? But Richard knew he had to put this aside for a moment. He sat next to his sister and let her weep into her shoulder. He gently licked the top of her head.

One night Richard was watching the stars when Emma came up to him. "Richard, I have something to tell you." She muttered. Richard nuzzled her. "Yes, Emma?" He purred. "I-I love you." She burst out. Richard pulled back for a second, shocked. Then he smiled. "I love you, too, Emma." He purred again. Emma nuzzled him, and Richard nuzzled her back. He realised just how much Emma meant to him that night.

Richard sat at the entrance to the cave at pride rock. Finally Simba came out and nodded to him. Richard flew into the cave and skidded to a stop by his sister's side. There were two young males lying in her arms. "What have you called them?" He purred. "I remember Lewis and I had a conversation about it once. He wanted to name the oldest Ash and the youngest Craig." She smiled. Richard nuzzled his sister and sat next to his mate, who took him outside and whispered something in his ear. "I'm pregnant, Richard."
