Quiet when alone; goofy and dumb with Kopa. Awkward, big and sometimes likes to philosophize.

Likes:

Hanging out by waterholes, peace and quiet when alone, hanging out with Kopa and doing silly things (usually pranks).

Dislikes:

Aggressive predators, usually doesn't like leopards (except Yin), when someone interrupts his quiet time.

Bio:

Doppelganger was born and raised in the dense forests of Zaire. He lived a very solitary life, as an okapi often does. One day, when he was 5, he visited a watering hole and was shocked to see a young lean lion by the bank. Lions are rarely found in the forest, so Doppelganger was rather shocked to see it. He became somewhat nervous when the young lion made eye contact, but he wasn't too worried, for it's possible for an okapi to defeat a solitary lion, especially such a thin one. But the young lion showed no signs of aggression, so, after a while of staring at each other, the lion finally spoke with a mellow 'Hi.'

The lion's name was Kopa.

And thus, the ice was broken. A conversation started and the two became instant friends. Dop was enamored by Kopa's zany tricks and wacky yet inventive ideas. Kopa traveled a lot, and often times, Dop would go for months without seeing him. One time, Kopa was missing for almost an entire year. Dop thought he'd never see his friend again, but one day, out of the blue, Kopa returned. Evidently, he'd stowed away on a ship headed for Asia, where he met a lovely Asiatic leopard named Yin. She didn't speak lion (or African-species of any kind), but she was very sweet.

When Simba came to collect Kopa for king-training, Dop was only too happy to accompany his friend to the plains (Yin was away at the time of Simba's visit).

Simba reluctantly agreed to allow Dop to join them (and promised no one would eat him) and Doppelganger traveled to the Pridelands with Simba and Kopa.

Though Dop likes Nala (even though she mistook him for 'dinner' when he first arrived), and eventually came to relax around the other lionesses, he doesn't trust Vitani, who always makes threats to eat him when Kopa isn't looking.

Dop believes Kopa will one day make an excellent leader.

Relation to TLK:

Friends with Kopa, travels to the Pridelands with Kopa and Simba.
