Nama is a loving lioness who cares for everyone, even if they don’t care for her back. She cares a lot about what others think and wants everyone to like her. Nama is close with her family, and is someone who would always be there for you.
Story: Nama was the third cub of Kiara and Kovu. She was kind of a surprise but was welcomed to the family with open arms. She was smaller than her siblings, when they were infants, but she was the nicest cub you could ever meet. Nama was the youngest and she didn’t often play with her older siblings. Chaka and Shani were never apart as cubs, but Nama seemed to be too young to do anything with her siblings. Nama was always left out and she was also very jealous of her older sister. Shani seemed to be good at everything. She could even beat Chaka at games like play wrestling. As a result to not going on adventurous with her siblings, Nama spent a lot of time with her parents. This made Shani jealous of Nama, It seemed that Nama was the favorite and it was true that Nama did get more attention than her sister but it was mostly due to Shani being older. Shani tried new ways to get attention, which often meant getting into trouble. Nama didn’t really like the adventurous that her siblings were constantly having but even as a young cub she could not avoid something happening to her. Nama was out chasing butterflies. Her mother had gone hunting, and her father was very busy. Chaka and Shani were nowhere to be found, but that didn’t bother Nama much. She leaped at the colorful butterfly she was chasing but missed and tumbled down a small hill. It was then when she ran into someone. Nama apologized at the girl cub she ran into. Nama had seen her before but they had never talked. The two started talking and they quickly became friends. Now instead of going off alone Nama had someone to play with. The cub’s name was Mila and she was Nama’s best friend. A few weeks later, Nama ran off early to go meet Mila by the waterhole. The two engaged in a long game of tag. Nama ran over by a river and hid behind a rock hoping Mila, who was it, did not see her. Mila noticed her friend run behind the rock and chased after her. Nama was fast enough to keep away from Mila, and they were running strangely close to the river. Mila pounced at Nama, but missed, tripped, and fell into the river. Nama giggled at first, but Mila was panicking too much for it to be a joke. She did not know Mila couldn’t swim. Chaka, Shani, and Nama used to swim together during their break from lessons. Nama tried to grab her friend in time, but Mila was too scared to listen to Nama. Nothing seemed to work, so Nama ran to get help. Kiara was out looking for Nama at the time so it was very easy for Nama to find help. She led her mother to the river, where Mila was trapped, but, sadly, it was too late. Nama could not save her best friend in time. This was very upsetting for Nama but, luckily, she had a good family to help her through it. As time went on, remembering Mila did not hurt as much though Nama will never forget her best friend. As a teenager, Nama and Shani were getting along more. Chaka was busy becoming king but Nama could not be more proud of her big brother. One day, Nama and her siblings decided to take a break from everything and go for a walk. That’s when they noticed something strange. There was a larger group of lions. Nama’s sister decided to investigate and overheard them. Nama was, of course, not fond of the idea of spying on the unknown, and scaring looking, lions but her sister did get some very important information. The lion had all been exiled, or are family members of other who have been exiled from the pride lands. Chaka, Shani, and Nama knew they had to get out as soon as they could but one lion spotted them. He chased after the siblings and, sadly for Nama she was not as fast as her siblings so the lion caught her. As she was being taken away, she couldn’t help but notice how furious Shani looked. This helped Nama stay calm. Shani was an excellent fighter, and had a bit of an anger problem so it was clear that her siblings would save her in time. Chaka ordered shani to go get help, and he chased after Nama. The other lions attacked Chaka, and all Nama could do was watch. Shani returned quickly with many others, including Kiara and Kovu. They attacked together. Nama stayed a captive of the lion’s leader and, because Shani had to help their father Kovu, it was up to Chaka. He charged up to Nama, and took on the lion that held her. Nama was saved and unharmed, though the same could not be said by all of their fighters who helped. They returned to the pride lands, and Nama was even more thankful for her siblings. She grew into a beautiful adult. Chaka had become king, and grown up a lot himself too. Chaka had experienced love and heart break but in the end he became a great king. Older now, Nama looks for more of a challenge in life. She still looks up to her sister as her better but Nama is just fine with the way it all turned out.
