Personality: Shani is very mechivious and is always getting into trouble. She is adventurous, playful, and friendly. She doesn’t always think before acting and loves a challenge. She is very smart and has a habit of manipulating others but Shani a good person who would do anything for the ones she loves. She is very close with everyone in her family and is a loyal friend. Shani is always in trouble but is also always there to help you when you need it.

Story: Shani is the second cub of Kiara and Kovu. She was born shortly after her older brother, Chaka. Shani and Chaka were always very close, surprisingly. They were always together and had a lot in common. For Kiara and Kovu, having their two eldest cubs together was trouble. Shani and Chaka were always running off and getting into all sorts of trouble. Kiara and trouble disciplining Shani because Shani was smart and knew if she went to her father, there would be a lighter punishment. Shani and her father, Kovu, were always close and when Shani flashed those big sad eyes at him, she always got off easy. Although, Kiara and Kovu were not planning on having another cub it still happened. Little Nama was a surprise but she was welcomed to her close family with open arms. Being the youngest, it seemed Nama got most of the attention and for a while Shani was always jealous of her sister. Nama was just too loveable. Shani and Chaka were always together and often left Nama out. At the time, shani did not realize that her sister hated being left out because when she was left behind Kiara or Kovu was there to cheer her up. Nama may have always been jealous of Shani for being better at things than her, but it was Shani who was jealous of her sister always being the sweet girl everyone loved. Shani was always trying to get more attention than Nama, which normally meant getting into trouble. Shani was always very competitive with her brother and she just loved outshining the soon-to-be king. As time went on, Shani grew into a beautiful teenager but her personality did not change. She was still the playful little cub she always was. Shani and Nama were becoming very close, now that they were older. It was nice to see the two sisters get along. Chaka was focusing more on his training, so Shani couldn’t spend as much time as she would like with him. One day, Chaka got a break from training and the three decided to go out and take a walk. They were wandering around when they noticed a group of lions and lionesses. This was very strange, so Shani decided to spy on them and see what was up. Not all information was gathered but Shani learned that the lions were all either banished from the pride lands, for different crimes, or family of someone who was banished. They apparently wanted revenge over the pride lands. Chaka, shani, and Nama knew this was bad news and tried to run back to the pride lands but they were spotted by a lion. The lion attacked them and Nama was not fast enough. Shani, in blind rage, was going to attack the lion but Chaka ordered her to run and get help while he handled it. Shani did as she was told and bolted back to the pride lands. Shani was screaming for anyone to help, and soon had her parents and the best fighter in the whole pride lands following her to save her sister. When they arrived, a whole fight broke out. Shani and Chaka met up and searched for Nama but there was no sign of her. Shani spotted her father, taking on four lionesses, and couldn’t leave him. Chaka was strong, healthy, and a great fighter. She was sure he would be able to find Nama on his own. Shani rushed to help her father. It was a long and brutal battle, especially between Chaka and the lion that held Nama captive. Nama was rescued and unharmed, though the same could not be said for all of the lionesses. Things soon returned to normal, although as time passed Shani discovered time would not wait for her. She was still so very childish while her siblings were growing up. Chaka was becoming the great king he always wanted to be and even Shani’s little sister, Nama, had grown past her. They were mature adults and Shani felt so alone. Her siblings would no longer explore out of the pride lands with her anymore. Her oldest brother had even fallen in love. Shani decided to go for a walk alone, after hearing about Chaka’s new love. She was very upset. Nothing would be the same after this. It seemed she walked forever, and even wandered out of the pride lands. Shani, tired and still a bit upset, stopped to get some water when she noticed someone. There stood a male lion, which seemed sad. Her curiosity got the best of her and she went up to the lion to ask what was wrong. The lion introduced himself as Abasi. He tried not to seem so upset around Shani, but she saw through him pretty quickly. The lion wasn’t from the pride lands but from another pride, not far away. He explained that his mother had just died, and his father had past many years before that. It was all very upsetting to him and he just couldn’t escape it. He left his home to get his mind off of things but nothing seemed to work. Not long ago, he had ran into a strange baboon that told him to keep going. He had told him some long and confusing riddle to think about but he still had no clue what the baboon meant. Shani smiled, realizing which baboon Abazi was speaking of. She decided to take him back to the pride lands. He was welcomed in, after Shani explained Rafiki had somehow sent him here for some unknown reason. Due to Shani’s new amount of free time, she spent a lot of time with Abazi. He was just as fun loving as her and the two hit it off quickly. They became great friends but being the childish girl she was, Shani did not notice what everyone else noticed. The way Abasi looked at Shani made it clear. As time went by, Shani did grow up a little but was still very clueless to how Abasi felt. The way he acted around her was so protective, but only Shani did not notice. It wasn’t until, Chaka took the throne and their parents retired when Shani did finally learn how much she meant to Abasi. It was just a normal day for Abasi and Shani. They were going to their favorite spot in the whole pride lands. Suddenly, the ground started to shake. The two looked up the hill to see what was happening. Shani and Abasi were quickly caught up in the middle up a stampede. They were fast enough not get trampled but not quick enough to get out. Abasi grabbed shani and pushed her to the side, but was sadly caught up in the stampede himself. It seemed almost impossible to escape. Shani tried to help her friend but kept losing him in the herd. She kept screaming his name but there was no answer. The herd past and Shani searched everywhere. She was so scared of losing him, she wasn’t looking very hard and was mostly panicking. Then, for what seemed out of nowhere Abasi had returned. Overjoyed, Shani tackled him. He was a little banged but alive and that’s all that Shani needed. That was the moment Shani had really fallen in love with Abasi and they became mates soon after.
