Personality: Rashid seems to always get into trouble, but he is a good guy. Rashid looks out for his loved ones, and loves to play around. He seems to think he is invincible and doesn't take very good care of himself. He loves adventures, exploring, and especially playing pranks on others. He'd do anything for a good laugh but Rashid mostly does this to get attention.

History: Rashid is the second cub of Asante and Shani. Rashid and his older sister, Sadira, got along great from the very start. As a cub, Rashid was a trouble maker. He was always off getting into trouble but his mother knew it was mostly for attention. Rashid did not get along well with his mother, mostly because Rashid hated baths and Shani couldn't seem to stop embarrassing her son in front of her friends. That relationship passed with time, though. Rashid was always willing to do anything. His sister was willing to go along with him, surprisingly. 
Soon, after Rashid was born Asante and Shani had news of another cub on the way. Rashid and Sadira were both very excited. Their new sibling was Asha and, although she isn't as wild as Rashid and Sadira, all three of them are always together. Rashid taught Asha everything from playing pranks to the best places to his when everyone was mad at you. The three cubs were crazy together.

One day, Rashid, his sister, and their two cousins went out to explore. Their cousin, Nuala, was blind and while they were all  excited about the destination Nuala was distracted by a noise and got left behind. Rashid was arguing with his cousin Mwesi as usual and they did not notice right away. When they did notice they panicked. All of the ran in search of Nuala and she was found. Sadly, her father found her first and all the cubs got into trouble. Luckily, they were quickly forgiven. 

As Rashid grew, he did become more responsible over his sisters but his pranks did not end. One day, Rashid decided to play a joke on one old lion. It was harmless but the lion was furious. Rashid ran off to hide. That's when he saw a young lioness and she was clearly hurt. Rashid ran to her side and brought her to the Pride Lands, where she was healed. Rashid was planning to spend more time with the mysterious and beautiful lioness but she disappeared as soon as she was better. Rashid was always very curious about her, but he did forget her over time.

Life went on for Rashid. He still was playing his pranks, especially on his sister. He didn't change a bit but then, one day, while getting a drink of water he noticed a lioness. He could not believe his eyes it was the same lioness before. She ran up to him, begging for his help. Rashid asked what he needed to do, and the lioness explained her adoptive father was after her because he believed that she was responsible for the death of his actual cub. Rashid was able to hide the lioness, and there was no sign of her adoptive father. The lioness was finally able to explain everything. Her name was Jelani. She was just a cub when a lion found her. He raised her, but wasn't as kind to her as he was towards her adoptive siblings. Jelani got along with her siblings but the day before they went out to hunt and one was in an accident. Jelani was blamed for his death and now her father is out to kill her. Rashid made a promise to keep her safe, and Jelani believed him. Rashid tried to get Jelani to Pride Rock, safely inside the den. An old lion, who was a friend of Rashid's father, was there and decided to help them. The lion helped Jelani to relax and took a look at her injuries, which werre bad but she'd live. Just when Rashid thought they were safe, Jelani's father soon caught up to them. Jelani's father attacked Rashid. Once Rashid was hurt he was not able to catch up to Jelani's father, who took Jelani away. Luckily, he was smart and knew the Pride Lands. He found a short cut. Rashid was able to cut them off. Rashid lunged at Jelani's father. The two  fought in a long battle. Rashid was pushed away, and his head hit a rock. He was unconscious, but was able to see Jelani taken by her father.

When he woke up, Rashid rushed back into action and searched everywhere for Jelani. He finally found where Jelani's father was. Sadly, Rashid was too late. He saw Jelani's dead body. In rage, he attacked Jelani's father. Rashid got his revenge and returned home. The only problem is, Jelani's large family was very upset when they learned Rashid killed him. Luckily, Rashid's cousin Mwesi, King of the Pride Lands, defended his cousin. There were many arguments about what should happen to Rashid. He was sent many threats and no one would believe him about Jelani, without having a witness. There was one person who knew about Jelani and her injuries. That was the old lion who lived in the Pride Lands and was close friends with Rashid's father. He was no where to be found. While the others searched for the witness to prove Rashid's story is true, Rashid  was forced to hide from the many lions who wanted him dead.

Rashid could not take it anymore. He went outside, just to get some fresh air and he was attacked. His family rushed to help, but were also attacked by the others who wanted revenge on Rashid. Then, the witness stopped the fight and told the story about Jelani. Rashid was proven innocent, and was just wanting revenge. The intruders were pushed out of the Pride Lands.

Rashid never forgot about his first crush, Jelani, but was happy that the trouble was all over. His life returned back to normal, and surprisingly Rashid grew more mature. He even stopped playing pranks on his sisters.
