Bio:
In spite of the hardships that plagued the first few months of Simba's Reign, the kingdom was finally overjoyed to have an heir. Born in the dead of night, Adui was the light of the kingdom, and doted on by both parents. Nala was not so happy as Simba, though, as she knew that dark secret that hung over Adui's parentage; he was not a legitimate heir, in fact, he was not even Simba's son. He was concieved in the final days of Scar's Reign, born just before Nala herself left to find help. Nala had fallen in love with the rogue, Ni, who was happy to sire a strong son to help free the Pridelands, but Scar knew of Ni's presence and told Nala that if she was to have son, the child would be killed.
Adui grew up in a relatively safe environment, and was eager to make friends and play. He also seemed to be adept at the art of hunting, and had a knack for the lore and law of the Pridelands. He seemed deeply intrigued by the throne, and promised his 'father' that he would be a good King. However, his soaring spirits were torn to the ground when Nala fell pregnant again, and Adui, who didn't quite like the idea of having a younger brother to usurp his throne, was nearly convinced to run away and leave the Pridelands behind. His mother managed to persuade him to stay, but he still liked to venture out to the borders.
That was when he met Ni.
The shadowy rogue looked as though he might hurt Adui, so the young prince ran straight back to Pride Rock, but Ni followed him, already having some clues about who the child belonged to. Simba welcomed him with open arms when Nala said he was to be trusted, but when Ni demanded to see his son, things went awry. Simba flew into a rage and nearly killed Ni when he discovered Adui wasn't his, and almost killed Adui, if not for Nala's pleading. Instead, he told the severely wounded Ni to take his son and never return to the Pridelands, which he did. Tearful, Adui was forced to leave his home and his mother.
He soon adapted to the rogue like, but he felt as though it wasn't for him. His prayers were answered when Raziya, the young daughter of Scar, came to his home, almost killed Ni and stole Adui away, to brainwash and use as her own tool to gain the Pridelands. He soon warmed up to her, and learned that she didn't tolerate disobedience, and rewarded good manners and submission.
When he was a little older, his pseudo mother sent him to Tojo's Valley Pride, to either gain followers or destroy them, to prove his strenth. He was greeted by the adolescent Faida, who was a good deal younger than him, but was smitten all the same. She led him back to her father, Tojo himself, and convinced the older lion to accept him. Accept him he did, but Tojo made sure Adui followed the rules.
When Faida was old enough, Adui took her as his mate. She was undoubtedly loyal, but a little overbearing and too... obsessed. She was young, he told himself, and very deeply in love, but that didn't stop the urge to tear her throat out. He finally sired a son, Atua, who was strong from the moment of his birth. Adui was finally pleased with Faida, but ignored her all the same. Atua was not old enough to become a fighter, so he would just bide his time until he was. In the meantime, Kula, Faida's mother, discovered his plot with Raziya, and confronted him, but as to hide evidence, Adui killed her. The odds weren't in his favour, however, as Sikai, Faida's nephew, found the body of his grandmother. Adui convinced him to keep quiet, and he did so until early adulthood.
When Sikai was an adult, he finally opened up about the truth behind Kula's death and the pride turned on Adui. In retaliation, Adui killed Kamili, Tama's daughter, and severely wounded Hasara, Faida's brother. He would have killed Faida when she went to intervene, but she finally showed backbone and tore him to pieces. In spite of the fear and the hurt in his final moments, perhaps he was proud that his spineless mate finally had the strength, the courage and the sense to put him out of his misery.
