History: Adrian was born into a pride distant from the pridelands. His parent's were the king and queen. He had two older brothers and 4 sisters of a variety of ages. His eldest brother was to be king, and he had no problems with that. Adrian's sisters were all so different. There were the middle two, as they were called and they were twins. These two were the same, though, and neither were nice, they teased everyone but never each other. His eldest sister was kind and caring and she often defeneded him and looked after him, he loved nothing more then to curl up between her and his eldest brother after a long day, she was like his second mother. His youngest sister was a tiny cub and although he was fond of her and wanted to be to her like his sister was to him, never got to know her properly.
He loved all of his siblings, even the middle two deep down, but none compared to his second eldest brother. They did everything together and were best friends. His brother was his role model and taught him all of the tricks to the trade of a successful cubhood and life.
One day his parents interrupted Adrian and his brother's conversation, asking for a chat with his brother. His big sister took him aside and explained that every lion get's the secret talk and this age, and after questions such as why don't girl's? And why doesn' my oldest brother, his siter had to explain that only male lions who aren't to be king get it.
But she didn't tell him the whole story.
His borther returns telling him they were just telling him off for chasing the gazelle. But that night, Adrian saw him get up and walk out of the cave entrance, he followed, and saw his brother break into a run across the savannah. Running far away. He tried to follow but his sister caught up and stopped him. And she had to tell him the truth. 'All male lions who aren't to be kings must leave the pride when they become old enough to make cubs, so they aren't competition for the king.' Adrian cried all night, it didn't occur to him that he would get the same fate.
Nearly a year later, Adrian nearly had a full mane, and his brother had taken the throne. His parents called him aside one day and explained he had to leave that night. His father was stern and insensitive but his mother sobbed and cradled him in her arms. 'Oh, he's always been so good...' She cried but his father simply snapped back 'You know the rules. ' And stalked away.
His sister was waiting for him and embraced him as he walked back to her. 'Should I come with you Adrian?' She stuttered, tears rolling own her cheeks. He looked at her kindly and said 'No, stay here where you have a pride round you. Anyway, I will see you again.' They both curled up together, and when they woke, it was nearly dawn. Adrian gasped, 'I should go now, father said if I'm not gone by dawn, he'll chase me out personally.' and with that, he ran, far away from his homeland.
He travelled till he was an adult with a full mane, and when his sensible mind kicked in, decided he had to try and join another pride before he lived his life alone. He had heard of the refuge the pridelands offered and decided to travel there.
Meanwhile, on priderock, some lionesses were on lookout. They spotted a lion, who from a distance looked like Scar. They shreiked in shock and sprinted to Simba and Kovu, who went to look for themselves. Seeing the lion, they realised the lionesses were right, it did look like Scar, and they went in for the attack.
They ran to the lion, and seeing close up he was nothing like Scar. Firstly he had no Scar, his eyes were red, his build was strong, his toes were uncoloured, his eyerings were lighter, his mane was thick, his nose was brown and his mane had a light patch.
After almost attacking him, Simba called Kovu back, and looked at the lion. He interrigated him, and decided he was a good lion, and would put him on trial to test his loyalty.
After weeks in the pridelands, Adrian began to get a soft spot for Jade. As their relationship blossomed, he found he no longer missed home as much and they fell in love.
When Simba and Kovu announced the lion could stay, the pride, who had grown to respect the kindness Adrian had for everybody, rejoiced, and he became a high-reguarded member of the pridelands, with his beautiful mate, princess Jade.
Although Adrian often thought of him, he never found his brother, but often visited his sister who loved to see him and his mate, especially their cubs (^-^) and he loved to see hers. He eventually met the little sister his mother had been expecting before his exile and was happy to see she was just like, in looks and personality, his long-lost brother, and sometimes called her by his name accidently. Adrian sometimes worried about his brother, but knew that with his brains and charm, wherever he was now was probably in a lush jungle dining on fresh zebra, brought to him by admiring lionesses.
Relation to TLK: Lives in pridelands, mate to Kovu and Nala's daughter.
