Description

Detail Leeto

Adopted from SuperNaturalMovement! ^^

Name: Leeto (means ‘Journey’)

Age: Depends on Use

Gender: Male

Parents: Unknown

Siblings: Unknown

Crush/Mate: Tiombe (Deceased/Former); Kabira

Cubs: Mohatu

Personality: A caring and warm-hearted, Leeto cares greatly about his pride, and does everything he can for them, even if it means his life. He is very fair and kind, and enemies often view him weak due to his ‘softness’, but others, such as herds, greatly respect him for his compassionate nature. However, after something happens, (like if a family member dies), he slips into a small state of depression and shuts himself out from the world, and then usually gets very aggressive and tense with others, often snapping and acting very snippy. So, it was a shock to his pride that after his mate, Tiombe died, that he still continued to lead the pride; however, they could see his sanity slipping due to her passing, until he eventually died himself from the aching loss of his beloved mate.

History: Born to two leaders of the pride, Leeto was destined to rule after they passed. He was also betrothed to a young cub that was born around the same time as him; her name was Tiombe.

As he grew Leeto was pushed to spend time with Tiombe, and soon the two grew an inseperable bond. They would often meet up and play together while being supervised by a member of the pride. However, when Leeto wasn’t with Tiombe, he was training and being taught different ways to rule from both his parents. During the teaching he grew a strong bond with both his parents, but in particular he grew extremely close to his mother.

It was when he was an older cub did tragedy strike; his mother went hunting and got a large wound while trying to hunt a wildebeest. After a few weeks had past she contracted a deadly infection, and after a few days she eventually died. This crushed the pride, but it especially crushed little Leeto. However, when he saw his father, the large lion hardly seemed fazed, and not even a day after the death of Leeto’s mother, he had already taken up a new mate to rule alongside him. Leeto was shocked, thinking his father was dishonoring his old mate’s memory, but Leeto’s father strongly enforced that he loved Leeto’s mother, but the pride needed him, and he needed to be strong for them, despite whatever he felt.

As Leeto grew, he began to develop stronger feelings for Tiombe, and began to tell his father about his crush on the young lioness. He father was thrilled when he heard the news, and only grew happier when Tiombe began to return Leeto’s affections. It was when the two were older teens that truly told each other of their feelings for one another, and when they finally became mates. Leeto’s father began to help Tiombe with ruling techniques, and when the two mates became young adults, Leeto’s father let them take up their positions to lead the pride.

After a few months of ruling together, Leeto and Tiombe mated, and after a few weeks Tiombe gave birth to a single male cub, which she and Leeto named Mohatu.

A few days after Mohatu’s birth, Leeto’s father passed away from old age. Leeto was crushed, feeling alone without either of his parents, but Tiombe encouraged him that she was there for him, and that they needed to be their for Mohatu. Leeto accepted her words, and the two proudly raised Mohatu together, loving him as much as they could, and teaching him as he grew.

Sadly, a few weeks after Mohatu’s birth, Tiombe had gone out for a walk, and she didn’t return at night. Leeto grew frantic, and sent out a patrol, with him leading. What he found broke his soul. He had found Tiombe’s battered and wounded body. He could tell that she had been killed by hyenas, but hadn’t gone done without a fight. After finding her dead, he remembered his father’s words about being there for the pride, and he became mates with a lioness named Kabira. He grew fond of the lioness, but something had disappeared within him. After Timbre’s death, Leeto’s heart never restarted with trying to find love again.

Leeto, however, still continued to raise and train Mohatu, loving his son with a passion, but the the lion was still haunted by Tiombe’s death. Mohatu grew to accept Kabira as a new mother, and Leeto grew to love her, but not to the extent he loved Tiombe, and Kabira knew this, but she also accepted it.

When Mohatu was a teen and Leeto a fully grown adult, a terrible drought struck their lands, and the pride moved on, hoping to find a new home. After many weeks of traveling, they came across a huge rock formation. Leeto, Mohatu, and a few lionesses checked it out, and proclaimed it to be a perfect place to live. Leeto decided to name it Pride Rock, and his pride happily began to settle into their new home. As they did this, Leeto spent the whole day with Mohatu, going over everything he had taught his son, and though Mohatu was confused, he went along with it. Leeto, however, knew he had to review everything with his son, knowing his time with his family was ending.

And, just like he had predicted, Leeto died peacefully in his sleep on the first night of sleeping at Pride Rock, and he awoke to find himself in the heavens; reunited with Tiombe.
