History:
Takoda is an only child. His parents are both rogues who hate prides. They don't like the idea that lions join in prides and the strong are placed on the weak. His parents found others who believed in the same opinion as theirs about prides as the traveled everywhere to stop prides and help every lion split away from the others. Takoda was young and did not understand it but he did enjoy traveling to new places. There wasn't many cubs to play with but he lived. Takoda and his father were pretty close. Takoda's parents made sure to make time for their son but it still seemed they were always working.
Takoda's mother soon fell ill. Takoda's father didn't believed she could make it but still made sure Takoda had hope. Takoda's mother soon passed and although he was sad, Takoda managed to put on a brave face and continue life. He wasn't the same though. Takoda didn't talk as much and he soon noticed it was hard to fall asleep.
Then, Takoda's father found The Pride Lands. He gathered the other lions and planned an attack. Takoda loved the pride lands. He enjoyed it's beauty and there was so many places to explore. He was walking, distracted by a bug, when he ran into another cub. It was a girl who seemed very confused. Takoda noticed she was a pride lander and blamed the cub for running into him. The shy cub apologized but Takoda just rolled his eyes then noticed the cub was blind. He said sorry for yelling at her and introduced himself. The cub's name was Panya and she told Takoda she was trying to keep up with her older sister but got lost and her friend, Chuku, was no where near to help her find her way back home. Takoda offered to help and on the way back the two cubs enjoyed each others company. Takoda asked if they could play tomorrow and Panya thought that was a great idea. They met up everyday to play since then but it was hard due to Panya's blindness and Takoda noticed how much being blind bothered Panya. Then, Takoda's father and the others attacked the Pride Lands. Takoda managed to warn Panya, who told her father, so the Pride Landers were ready. The battle was long and many were hurt so both sides retreated.
Takoda had to go back with his father, even though he wanted to stay with Panya. Takoda watched as his family thought of more attack strategies while he stayed quiet. When ever Takoda got the chance he would find Panya. One night, while they were talking Panya mentioned how if she wasn't blind she would help keep their families from fighting. Takoda, then, remembered an old story his father told him about a lion who lived alone in the mountains and granted wishes. Takoda wasn't sure that the lion could help Panya but he needed to try.
Takoda ran away from home in search of the lion. Although, his father was concerned they were heading out to fight he Pride Landers today and nothing could stop them. Takoda traveled to the mountains, not even stopping once. He refused to give up. It was a long and painful journey but it was worth it when Takoda found the lion's den. He walked in and called for the lion, who appeared from the shadows. Takoda asked the lion if he could grant his wish. The lion just nodded. Takoda asked if the lion could give Panya, his friend, her sight back. The lion chuckled. "I can't give a blind cub sight. It is unnatural," he explained but Takoda begged and begged until the lion said yes. With that promise Takoda sprinted home to find Panya. Takoda was too late. The battle had ended, with again no winner, but Panya was gone. Takoda went home to find his father had took many prisoners, one of them was Panya. That night, while his father slept, Takoda met up with Panya. He woke her up and when Panya opened her eyes she saw Takoda. Panya was shocked and amazed. Her sight had returned. After explaining why she could see Takoda and Panya helped the others escape. They easily snuck past Takoda's family and returned to the Pride Lands. Back at the Pride Lands, Takoda took some time away to teach Panya what exactly she was seeing. It was hard to explain different colors but Panya was a quick learner. Then, Takoda left to go back home. Matu, the Lion King and Panya's father, attacked Takoda's family. Takoda watched from far but witnessed the long battle. He then realized how much he hated fights. The battle did end, and the Pride Landers had won. Takoda was happy that it was finally over. Panya, then introduced Takoda and her father. She explained everything, even her ability to see again and Matu was very happy about Takoda. Takoda was given the chance to live in the Pride Lands and he did for a while.
Then, one hot morning Matu told Takoda that his father was still alive and apparently mad that Takoda was living with the Pride Landers. Others had seen him at the borders. Takoda thought about this for a long time and decided it would be best if he left, for the safety of Panya. So, he did. Panya woke up without Takoda and also learned her sight was gone too. Takoda heard that Panya lost her sight so he traveled back to the old lion. He was no help. The wish was just temporary because it wasn't right to mess with nature.
Takoda traveled everywhere and met many new things. He came across another pride, and everyone happily accepted him. That's when he met Rebecca. She was a beautiful yet lonely lioness and Takoda decided to talk to her. Something happened to Takoda after that, he was laughing around Rebecca and felt happy. As time went on Takoda started to love Rebecca but still did not want to get too close. He didn't want to lose her too but as they grew up Takoda noticed Rebecca was different. She changed him and made him happy. Takoda finally gave in and the two became mates.
Takoda now lives with Rebecca and loves every moment of time with her. No sign of his father, Takoda assumed he gave up or found something new to chase but was still very protective over Rebecca.
Relationship to The Lion King: Panya's crush. Panya is Kiara's great granddaughter.
