History: When Zira fell into the river after the dam broke she climbed out of the water and ran away. ZIra met a rouge lion and fell in love with him. They mated, and had Rashad. Zira was disappointed she only had one cub and wanted to mate with the lion again. But when she found him it turned out he had a mate. Zira ran off and decided to train Rashad to fight against Simba. But as he grew more, the more it seemed to be impossible. He knew that Simba was innocent, and hated to see him hurt. Rashad knew that Zira was evil. He wanted to run and escape to the pridelands. One day when he asked Zira what it was like in the pridelands and why she wanted to kill SImba, Zira took Rashad to the pridelands. While they were secretly exploring, Zira told Rashad all sorts of lies. She told him that Simba was a murderer, he murdered a great king called Scar, his own father and hisson so that he could exile Zira. Rashad had a feeling she was lying but chose to lie low on that until he found out more. Rashad decided to take his training, hoping that he would be able to use it on Zira one day.
But then, since he was living in the outlands, Rashad found it strange to see a lioness walking up the path. He scrambled to his feet. "Excuse me, madam, but why are you here? This place is dangerous. Unless you have come to join my mother she will kill you." Rashad told the lioness in his most polite voice. She looked at him. "Are you the son of Zira?" She asked. Rashad nodded. "Sadly." He replied "I am afraid your mother was involved in a battle with the prince, and he killed her to protect the pride. I am sorry to tell a cub this but she was evil." The lioness told Rashad, who could not decide what his emotions were. "I know, she was training me to kill the king. But I thought that the prince had died? My mother told me that the king murdered his own son and blamed Zira, but I didn't believe her." Rashad confessed. The lioness shook her head. "No, it was your mother who killed the prince, but he survived and has returned." She explained. Rashad didn't know what to think. He hated how his mother was evil but now she was dead he was homeless. The lioness smiled. "King Simba wants you to come into our pride." Rashad leapt up. "Really? Would he do that? It would be amazing if I could!"Rashad was overwhelmed with joy. Saying goodbe to the outlands, Rashad left for the pridelands.
One of the first things that Rashad did in his new home was explore. He was amazed at how much life there was, and he saw the water hole. Rushing over, Rashad lapped up the water eagerly. It was so cool and fresh and soothed his parched throat. A few animals said that he had to leave because he was the son of Zira then stopped, remembering that so was Kovu, and neither Kovu or Rashad's father was Scar. King Simba could see that Rashad was harmless but Kovu was not so sure. Rashad feared the older lion, and was afraid of his scar. So most of the time he kept with Kiara. Then when Vitani had Zale, Rashad was delighted to finally have a playmate. When Gana was born and came outside for the first time, Rashad's heart melted. Kaira's cubs, Chaka, Shani and Nama were also born so Rashad had a few friends, but no one his age.
When Rashad was a teenager, he began to develope a great interest in the great kings of the past. He began to ask Simba stories about it, and Nala, Aniweta and he bugged Adia about it too. Then when Jasper and Jay were born, Rashad envied Aniweta and Darra. He congratulated them, they were so lucky. Then Adia found her new mate, Drake, and had his cubs. Rashad was happy for them, but he was jealous too. All he wanted was a mate and cubs of his own. Did this not happen because he was the son of Zira? Was bad luck simply genetic? Because Rashad would give anything for a mate. Anything.
One day, when Rashad was an adult he saw a lioness that was wounded. He healed her but she was scared and ran off. Rashad sighed and continued on his way. Later, when he was hunting, Rashad saw the lioness again. He knew that she needed to eat, and she was probably weak, so he caught his prey and offered some to her. The lioness devoured her partr of the meal, then Rashad ask her who she was. The lioness looked up and said her name was Rei. Rashad smiled. "My name is Rashad." He told her, being carefun lnot to say that he was the son of Zira. Unfortunately, Rei knew who his mother was. Thankfully, she became his friend, and Rashad began to have a small crush on her. He came close to asking her to be his mate several times, but couldn't do it. Finally, he gained the courage to ask her, and she accepted. Then Rashad's life began on a whole new level
