(Utaki is part of an alternate universe where I use my own versions of Kovu and Kiara's cubs. He is not connected to the same universe as Zahira and most of my other characters, or the universe Seeker is in.)

Likes: Kamaria, lazing in the shade, keeping himself to himself, keeping clean, learning, star-gazing, being alone, swimming, watching the sunset and sunrise, being witty, trying to be positive, his brother (when he was a cub), when it rains, peace and quiet, night-time, his favourite rock

Dislikes: His brother, confrontation, being feared due to his image, his scars, fighting, how scrawny he is, being annoyed, his parents, Neyjaki (Kamaria's elder brother), when it's too hot, negative lions, other's who lust over power, stuck-up lions, needy females, being faced with hard decisions

History: Utaki was the youngest of a litter of four cubs born to a young lioness. She was much too young to have cubs and be able to raise them properly, but she was convinced she could. She found a male she had liked the look of and mated to him, although she never saw this male again. She gave birth in a small cave, cold and alone. She had panicked when she had noticed two of the four cubs were stillborn, and ran away without a second though for the two cubs she was leaving behind. Luckily for Utaki and his older brother Tobias, an elder lioness from their mother's pride has secretly followed her, fearing something like this would happen. The lioness stayed with the two cubs, nursing them as best she could. She had planned to leave when they were older cubs, but she grew attached to the two boys and stayed in the small cave with them. Utaki was very close to his brother, and they would always play together during the day, and sleep side-by-side at night. Their favourite game was the Kings game, where they would take turns to pretend to be a King, although Utaki rarely seemed to ever get to be the royal in the games.

When they were older and their carer sadly died of old age, Utaki suggested that the two of them try to find another place to stay. Tobias quickly suggested the Pridelands, and before long Utaki was being dragged along as the two made their way there. It was a long journey, and while it took it's toll on the younger, frailer Utaki, his brother took it all in his stride. Utaki thought nothing of it, his older brother had always been a bit cocky. When they arrived, they were greeted by the princess and next ruler of the Pridelands, Kamaria. She gladly welcomed them both into the Pride, as she had learned to accept all thanks to the stories her mother and father told her. Utaki wasn't used to being around such a large group of lions, and preferred to stay out by himself. He stayed like this for a long while, and only found out that his brother and Kamaria had gotten together, and that Tobias was to be the next King. Utaki was mildly suspicious, as Tobias certainly didn't seem to be the romantic sort, but again, he though nothing of it. If the Royal Family trusted his brother, everything would be okay, right?

This was where Utaki was wrong. He had been out by himself at the waterhole relaxing in the sun when Kamaria approached him, tears staining her cheeks. She spilled everything about Tobias, how he was using her just to get power, and that she was too afraid to speak out about him to anyone, and it had taken a lot of courage to even tell Utaki since they hadn't really talked before. Utaki was shocked, he didn't think his brother would do such a thing, but as he began to pay more attention to what was happening around him, he began to notice everything, but decided to stay quiet until the time was right. He continued to spend a lot of time with Kamaria, which was something that Tobias had noticed... consumed with paranoia that his younger brother was out to steal 'his' thrown, he attacked him, leaving him battered and bruised with many scars. A few of the pridesisters had noticed the fight breaking out, and alerted Kiara, Kovu and Kamaria. Utaki was furious at his brother and demanded that Kamaria tell everyone what he was really like when the two were alone together. Kamaria spilled everything with a bit of coaxing, and Tobias was chased from the Pridelands.

Everyone was still reeling from what had happened with Tobias, and Utaki provided Kamaria a shoulder to cry on whenever she needed it. As much as he tried to deny it, Utaki had started to develop feelings for her, but he didn't tell anyone and kept it to himself. It was much too soon to reveal big news such as this. Currently, Utaki serves as a sort of consort and majordomo to Kamaria, and tries to help her make the best decisions for the Pridelands.

Relation to TLK: He and his brother migrated to the Pridelands from their old home, has feelings for the daughter of Kovu and Kiara and is a good friend of hers. Also knows many of the characters of the TLK movies.
