History:
Asha was born in the middle of nowhere. Her mother left her alone but luckily Asha was found by a young lioness names Lela, who was expecting a cub of her own. Lela had found Asha as an infant, almost near death. Without her Asha may have died.
Asha was always a lively cub. She enjoyed exploring and playing. Her mother was one of the best hunters and was always happy to teach Asha a few things. Asha always knew she was adopted but didn't mind. Lela was the best mother she could wish for.
Asha has one younger brother named Kito. She was very proud to be a big sister and loved every minute. The two got along great. Asha looked after her younger brother and cared for him a lot. They made a great pair and were almost always together. Because their mother hunted a lot she would often leave them in the care of her best friend, Sarabi. Sarabi would watch Asha and Kito when their mother was away and Simba was out with his father. Asha and Kito looked up to Sarabi like a very close aunt and she loved spending time with them. Asha was very shy around Simba, like she was around most cubs her age, but Kito was very open and friendly. He even met his best friend, Mheetu, because of Simba. Asha and her brother also knew Mufasa and looked up to him, though he was more than just their king he was a friend.
One day, while Kito was out playing with Mheetu, Asha and her mother went out to take a walk. Asha loved taking walks with her mother and loved looking at nature. Asha found a beautiful butterfly to chase, though her clumsy paws didn't help her that much. Asha was always working on getting faster but when it came to play time she sometimes just forgot how. Lela helped Asha and demonstrated how to pounce on prey. Then they heard a noise. A lion jumped out of nowhere. Lela ordered Asha to run but she was too frozen in fear. The lion explained he was here to send a message to Mufasa. He had an army and was going to take the pride lands right from him. Asha then ran for help. She found Mufasa on the borders of the pride lands and told him everything. Mufasa ran to help while Asha waited for her mother's safe return. Mufasa returned alone. He explained her mother had been taken prisoner. He told Asha the story of the lion. Lela and the lion were old childhood friend until he became a very dark person. Lela ran away to the pride lands where they found her and took her in. The lion wanted to take the pride lands for its great supply of food and water but he was all roar and no bite. Mufasa promised to get Lela back and Asha believed he could do it. The two didn't mention it right away. Asha didn't even tell Kito the details.
Mufasa was planning ways to get Lela back with the fighters of the pride when Mufasa and Simba's death came. Asha and Kito were devastated. After that Scar took over and things took a turn for the worst. Everyone forgot about Lela because the hyenas were taking all the food for themselves and Scar ruled with an iron fist. Sarabi took care of Kito and Asha but as cubs they witnessed horrible things. Asha saw Scar abuse many lioness and Kito saw his Mheetu's death. That was the last straw. Asha knew the only way to live was to run. She and her brother planned to run away and find help. They left one early morning without saying good bye.
The cubs were able to manage. Asha was able to catch small prey for food and even though there were no other lions around there was water. Asha became a very responsible adult then. She looked after her brother even more now. Then one day Asha was out trying to hunt an antelope. She crouched down when suddenly a male cub about her age came charging in and caught a large antelope. Asha was surprised. She was never able to do that before. Asha then realized she needed to steal the antelope from the boy. Asha simply walked up to the boy and introduced herself, giving him a fake name. She flirted with the boy until he was distracted then she quickly took the antelope. Once the cub realized she took his dinner he stopped her. He offered to fight for it and Asha happily accepted. They wrestled for a while but Asha was determined to win. She pinned him down to the ground and laughed. Then she happily picked up the antelope but before leaving she offered to share it. The cub accepted her offer and the two went back to Asha's little brother, who was waiting for dinner. The male cub introduced himself as Musa. He told them he was a cub living on his own and has been alone for years. Asha at first believed him. He offered to help them hunt as long as they gave him a place to sleep and Asha let him stay. They soon became a trio. Asha spent a lot of time with Musa and soon found out he was a lot of fun to be around and Kito liked him as well.
Asha even told Musa what she was doing out her all alone. Musa didn't say much to reply but did say he would help. All three cubs went to go look for the closest pride that may be able to help.
It took a while and for a long time it seemed they were walking in circles. Asha was a cub growing into a teenager when they found another pride. They watched the lions carefully and Asha found one she knew. She spotted the lion who took her mother. She also realized Musa seemed very nervous around this pride but when Asha asked what was wrong he wouldn't answer. The three watched the pride for a while and Asha did find her mother, who was kept away in the den. Asha knew she had to do something now.
Later that night she tried to sneak off alone but Musa caught her. He knew why she was leaving and offered to help. He knew a lion that wanted revenge as much as she did. He lead her down a path and told his real story. Musa was the prince to this pride and the lion who stole Asha's mother was his father. Asha was shocked and didn't want to hear any more. She ran off into the dark. Asha, with tears streaming down her face, knew it was unsafe to trust him. What if this was all some sort of plan. She couldn't believe it though. She was developing a crush for Musa, the son of the lion who stole her mother. It didn't seem real. Asha decided it was best to do it on her own.
Asha found a way into the den and was able to see her mother again but before the two could speak to each other Asha was caught. The lion who stole her mother, Ralu, saw her. Ralu hit her against the wall. He laughed at her, "This time I won't let you get away." Asha shut her eyes when she heard a loud thundering roar. She opened her eyes and saw another lion attack Ralu. Musa ran to Asha and whispered in her ear, "I won't let him hurt you."
Musa explained the lion he found was his older brother, who also wanted his father dead for abandoning him. Ralu and Musa's older brother fought for a long time before Musa's brother was pushed off the rocky hill the den sat on. Musa screamed for his brother to get up but he didn't move. Then Ralu came after Asha and Musa but Lela stopped him. While they fought Asha waited, nervously trying to think of a plan but her brother already did. Kito came back with many more male lions. Musa explained he and Kito found some others who really don't like his father's rules. they had been kicked out of the pride because there were too many males that could easily overthrow him. Asha watched as her brother and Musa sent an army to go help fight the king. It was a long fight but Musa's father was defeated. Asha, Musa, and Kito were thanked for their bravery. Musa's father Ralu had become too controlling and almost sent this pride to it's doom.
They stayed for a while and helped create a new kingdom with new rules. Musa was finally proud to say he would be king one day and Asha's family was back together. There was one more thing to resolve though. By this time Asha had become a teenager and Musa had fallen in love with her. He knew she wanted to return to the pride lands but he wanted her to become his queen so he asked early. Asha thought long and hard. She never expected to fall in love and she never expected to be a queen. Yet, she loved Musa and also fell in love with this kingdom. She said yes as long as they could go back to fix the pride lands before she became his queen.
Asha, Musa, and Kito along with others went to the pride lands. It was a long walk there but when they returned Asha finally saw the one thing she wanted the most. Asha came back in time to watch Simba, a cubs he had grown up with, take his thrown as his. Asha was sure he was as dead as his father but there his stood with Nala, now his mate. Asha wanted to say one more thing to them but decided not ruin their moment. Asha and Kito visited Sarabi one last time and told her everything. Then went back to their new home where Asha would become Musa's queen, forever happy.
