History:
Birth-
Lokar was born in the Out Lands, which was now abandoned by the out landers when the two prides joined. He didn't have the best parents so was not taken care of that well.
Childhood-
Lokar's parents were rarely around so he had to learn how to do things on his own. He didn't mind being alone and was always happy when they returned. When he got the chance to spend time with his parents it was normally his mother who was around. His father rarely ever talked to Lokar. Lokar was a very happy-go-lucky kind of cub, which only annoyed his parents even more. Lokar never got time with other cubs or even other lions besides his family. His parents were loners and seemed to be hated by everyone. They had been forced out of every pride they met and with a history like that they were never in a good mood.
Lokar never got much attention. He was always on edge and his parents had taught him to trust no one. They told him stories about how every pride the came in contact with them attacked them without even getting a chance to meet them. Lokar never totally understood the strange stories but he began to developed a fear of others.
Teenage years-
Lokar was a teenager when his younger sister, Shani, was born. He was the one who watched over he the most and one night, Lokar was staying up late when he heard his parents talking. "I never wanted another cub. I'm sick of raising these brats," His mother said. Lokar's father agreed. They talked about leave them before the sun rose. Lokar, angry over what they just said, burst out of their den and growled at them to leave. His parents did as he ordered and Lokar ran back to his younger sister. She was still asleep when he promised to actually give her care and love.
Shani was still an infant and Lokar was completely new when it came to raising a cub. He had no idea what the right way was. One day when Shani was asleep, taking a nap, Lokar went off to find some food. That's when three teenage lioness from the pride lands accidentally wandered in the Out Lands. One of them happened to find little Shani, in a deep sleep. Lokar saw them and raced towards them. Two of the girls, the oldest, jumped at him. He snarled at them and screamed for them to leave his sister alone. The girls looked at each other and got off Lokar. Lokar explained to them what happened to him and his sister. How they were left by their parents and how he has no idea how to even care for a cub. The oldest of the lioness, Akeelah, who was just a bit older than him asked if he knew where the pride lands were. Lokar showed them the way back to their home. They thanked him but one, the second oldest who was about Lokar's age, ran back to Lokar. She asked him to come with them and Lokar was confused. She went on to tell him about how much better Shani would be if she didn't grow up in the Out Lands. Lokar could disagree. He never thought of joining a pride, after the stories his parents told him but he agreed and took Shani with him into the pride lands.
The lioness, Penda, asked her uncle, the Lion King at the time, to let Lokar and Shani stay. He did agree as long as Penda kept an eye on them.
Adulthood-
Everything was much better in the pride lands. Shani had a much better future and Lokar couldn't be any happier. Then one day, Penda, who was no his best friend, took him out for a walk. It was the morning after a long storm and the rivers were no full of water from the rain. They were crossing a log to get to the other side of the river but when Penda stepped down the log broke but trapped her paw. The log creaked, it was slowly breaking to then be swept down the river by the rushing waves. Lokar tried to keep the log together while freeing Penda. Penda's paw slipped out and the two quickly ran to the other side. Penda made it but Lokar was quickly taken by the water when the log broke in half. He was rushed down the river and Penda ran as fast as she could to keep up with them. Lokar moved farther from land and closer to the middle of the river. Penda grabbed a branch, that had fallen from a tree, and put it out for Lokar to grabbed. Lokar held on tight as he was slowly pulled closer to land. Lokar was able to reach land ad the pull himself up to safety. Lokar and Penda looked back to see the pieces of log still float down the river. Penda nuzzled him romantically and Lokar understood what she was trying to say. He noticed how she was developing a crush on him so he gently licked her on her cheek. Then gave her a flirty smile.
The two became mates soon after and although Penda's family didn't think he was the best pick for her they were happy she was happy.
