Name: Sharif (meaning 'noble' in Swahili)
Breed: African Lion
Gender: Male
Parents: Kadiri and Dailia, both (c) me
Siblings: Dhani and Sabiha all (c) me
Crush: Njozi (c) me
Mate: None
Cubs: None
Likes: His family and the pride he was born in. He loves his sisters and would do anything for them and like them, enjoys playing with the only royal cubs of the Pridelands, the children of the Prince/Shaman, the nephews and niece of the King, Baraka. He hopes to take over as leader of the guardianship of the Pridelands after his father steps down or dies on the job, the latter he never wishes for, but knowing how dangerous the job is, the possibility is always there. But, again, he never wishes it. He loves his father, as any son should.
Dislikes: There’s only one thing he dislikes more than anything and that is when Princess Njozi suffers her dreams, other than that he is a content lion.
Personality: Is quiet, kind and gentle, and like his royal friends, he and his sisters obey their parents and prefer behaving to causing their parents worry, knowing their parents have worries of their own by guarding the kingdom. Dhani and Sabiha are important to him, and being their only brother, he feels that while they don’t need him to protect him he’s there no matter what. He, like Prince Adabu, takes the ‘I’m the older brother and when Father is gone I am the lion of the family’ motto very seriously. Both families of the cubs are very close so when Prince Arif and his mate Princess Akase separate, Sharif and his sisters are there to comfort their royal companions.
History: The first born son Kadiri and Dailia, guardians of the Pridelands. Brother to Dhani and Sabiha and like brother to Prince Adabu, nephew of the King. His name means ‘noble’ and he lives up to it in all ways possible. He and Adabu are a lot alike in manner and personality. The two friends love their siblings, their families and their kingdom. Sharif is also close to Adabu’s only sister and finds himself comforting her when she suffers dreams of things yet to come. As the son of the leader of the guardianship Sharif believes that it will be up to him and possibly his sister Dhani to carry on the border patrolling for their parents when they are no longer able to. While he doesn’t know what the future holds for him, he does hope that one day, he and Princess Njozi will become more than friends. He cares for her and knows she does for him, but until that day he wishes to live his life in peace with his siblings and friends.
Relation to TLK: Best friend of Prince Arif’s children who are the grandchildren of Kovu and Kiara.
