Name: Adisa (meaning 'one who makes his meaning clear' in Swahili)
Breed: African Lion
Gender: Male
Parents: Arif and Akase, adopted son of Saada, all three (c) me
Siblings: Adabu, Njozi, all (c) me
Crush: Sabiha (c) me
Mate: None, yet
Cubs: None
Adult Features: He resembles his great-grandfather Simba
Likes: His family, the pride, Sabiha and her siblings, all (c) me, spending time with his parents, stargazing and dreams of being a storyteller and probable advisor to his uncle, the King. If not that, then a Pridelander historian, or storyteller
Dislikes: Fighting and disrespect to any member of his family or member of the kingdom
Personality: Is quiet and can keep to himself sometimes. Like his brother he is kind and gentle, and like his sister and brother and their friends, prefers to behave and not cause trouble. Njozi and Adabu are important to him and is the middle child. He’s there when either need him, including his friends. He shares his older brother’s feelings towards their mother Akase, that she is an unfit and unworthy mother because she abandoned them after fighting with their father and sees the lioness Saada as more of a mother figure and not just the cub caretaker. He forms a special friendship with the guardians’ second daughter Sabiha and finds himself caring for her deeply. When his father and the lioness Saada marry he is glad, even more so since they marry in a double ceremony with his uncle, the king and the blind lioness Etana who becomes the much needed Queen.
History: The second born son of Prince Arif and the late Princess Akase of the Pridelands. Brother to Prince Adabu and Princess Njozi and another best friend of the Pridelands guardians’ children. His name means ‘one who makes his meaning clear’ and uses his name meaning to help others through their problems. He’s kind of like a counselor, even for a cub. He loves his siblings and enjoys playing with them and their friends in the grasses but like Adabu he can be serious and would do anything to make sure his siblings are safe and well cared for. He’s more closer to his only sister Njozi and allows her to lean on him when she suffers painful dreams. He loves his parents, but when his father starts pulling away from his family he is the first to pass no judgment but rather sticks to his loyalty and instincts. Once his parents separate it’s up to him to keep his siblings together. Since he is the firstborn to a Prince of the Pridelands and his uncle, the King has no children of his own it is whispered that Prince Adabu will be the next in line to the throne. He knows it is a possibility but he doesn’t let it go to his head. He prefers to hope for the day his uncle marries and has children of his own but keeps the possibility of him being the next king buried in his mind. He has a strong bond with the second daughter of the Pridelander guardian and shares Adabu’s feelings in joining the two sisters on patrols when they grow up. When his father’s and his new love interest – after his mother dies a few months later – marry he is happy and hopes to share his life with Sabiha. With the naming of Saada as the new Princess, his uncle and Etana marry, thus naming Etana the Queen. Adisa feels it won’t be too longer before his uncle and mate have cubs of their own, including his father and adopted mother. Like his current siblings they love the idea of being cousins and brothers and sisters to the next generation of Pridelands royalty.
Relation to TLK: Prince Arif’s second son and Kovu and Kiara's grandson.
