Personality: Sambi is a calm but still playful cub. He is intelligent and mature, but still has childish traits. He is quite lazy, and is happy to spend quiet time alone, but still enjoys spending time with friends. Sambi seeks approval from his father, and strives to do well and train to become a great leader and be just like him. He can be a bit sensitive at times, and to doesn’t take much to get to him, although he doesn’t tend to show it much. He is affectionate and also has a close connection with his mother, despite the fact that she wasn’t around for most of his cubhood.

History: Nala, Mheetu, Tama and Kula escape and meet up with Malka, Tojo and Chumvi. Malka is the king of their pride, and chooses Nala as his queen. She isn't quite sure if she loves him or not now, only that she used to have a crush on him as a cub. But Malka loved her, so Sambi was born. After attacking Mheetu, Nala hated Malka and runs off, abandoning Sambi, and when she finds Simba, falls in love and becomes his mate. Sambi grew up with his father, and during Nala and Simba's visit for Maua's presentation, Malka hides him away in fear he will be taken away from him. On their visit for Zawadi's presentation, he disappoints his father by running off to meet his mother for the first time since he was a cub.
