History:

Afya was born in the pridelands, both her parents were pridelanders. She never knew Sabra at first, she was too busy doing her own thing. Afya always went out on fun adventures and her parents never knew how far she actually traveled.  Afya would often go out past the pridelands to explore new places while her parents were out hunting. when her parents came back they would bring lots of food and they would end their day looking at the stars. This was always Afya's favorite part of the day.

One day she went a little too far. Afya went out exploring the outlands to see what lies in the shadows. She was playing around exploring some old caves when she heard something. Afya quickly came out of the caves to see what it was and saw a huge fire surrounding her. Afya, scared out of her mind, screamed as loud as she could though she knew no one was around. Afya quickly tried to find a way out but there was no other way but running right into the flames. She was trapped. Suddenly a lion cub, also from the pridelands, was running to her. Afya realized he was coming to save her and began to fill with hope again. It was Sabra. He ran to her and helped her find away out. They ran through the tall flames. Afya's eyes began to water from the smoke, making it hard to see. Sabra helped Afya through the maze of flames until they came to a dead end. The two cubs sat on a large rock with flames as tall as they are around them. Sabra didn't know what else to do and Afya realized how scared he was. Just then Afya heard a crack. She looked up to find a tree covered in flames about to tip over. She quickly grabbed him and pulled Sabra out of the way before the tree fell on him. "Follow me!" She shouted, as soon as she found a way through the flames. They ran as fast they could, coughing along the way. Then they saw it, The PrideLands! Other lions were there as well, including Afya's mother. They finally made it home. The other lions stayed to stop the fire from spreading. Afya's mother took the two cubs back to the den.

There the two cubs sat down, tired from their escape. Then Afya noticed something. Sabra had been so brave and helpful. Without him she could have died, no she would have died. Afya introduced herself and Sabra did the same. Then she told him that they make such a great team, they need to hang out more. Sabra agreed, realizing how cute she was. This started their long friendship and romance.
