Personality: Baraka is a lion with a strong willed spirit. He’s a serious lion but only shows his humor when he feels he must. Tends to take things seriously, but he’s a king, right. Ready and willing to defend the weak and helpless and listens to those who need his kingly counsel. His most important duty is first to his kingdom and family and has said that if needed he would abdicate his throne in favor of spending time with his loved ones. Is social but more often than not prefers solitude and wandering the kingdom with his mate, counting – as his name suggests, blessings.

History: The firstborn son of Prince Kovu and Princess Kiara, the Regents of the Pridelands. Brother to Arif and uncle to his brother's cubs and becomes the new king of the Pridelands. He is a good lion with a caring attitude, which makes him a great leader. He cares for the members of his pride and treats the other lions, those he grew up with, like brothers who gladly serve him and the kingdom. Lionesses, however, are not his strong suit, though like the guardians, he grew up with a few of them. He likes lionesses' but only has friends and will not mate with them unless there is real love between them. There is one lioness Baraka knows but doesn't love though she loves him. He is not interested as his reasons are deeper than what anyone knows. With him not having a queen or a cub, his mind eats at him, giving him dreams of what his future will be like and how much the Pridelands will suffer unless he doesn't find his other half and has an heir. In his heart, he wants a lioness that waits and listens before doing anything, a lioness that can see without her eyes. A lioness that sees with her mind and heart that trusts her instincts, and little did he imagine that his much needed mate was a blind lioness named Etana. Through her he learns that love is not seen with seeing eyes but with the eyes of the heart.
