History

Born in Middle Africa, Ebon was part of a nomadic tribe of lions growing up. He was the second-eldest son of the tribe's leaders. Their travels took them far and wide across Africa.

Reaching adulthood, Ebon decided to make his own way. He wandered far ; his travels took him to the Pridelands. There was trouble there in the from of a drought - Ebon was not welcome, as the animals were having strife with a selfish lion who was not sharing the little water there was left (see the book, a Brightest Star). Although asked to stay by the current king, Mohatu, Ebon decided this wasn't a place he would reside in just yet, as it did not look to have much hope.

Far away from both the Pridelands and the OutlandsMeeting a loner called Gantua, they set up their own nomadic tribe.

It was into his elderly years that Ebon fell very sick. He became senile - odd - distant. Finally he dissappeared and could not be found, much to Gantua's grief. He was thought dead.

Gantua left the tribe in the paws of her eldest, Gabon, and set to wandering in mourning for her lost mate, who she knew had died a death far from the peaceful one he had always wanted. Her journeying took her to the Outlands where she was kept prisoner by Zira.

Meanwhile, Ebon had in fact not died. He had merely staryed in his delirium and had been been found, lying in a stupor, by humans - explorers. They helped him how they could, feeding him good meat until he was strong and healthy.

He was cured of his illness. He roamed, having some sixth sense that Gantua was not back at his old tribe.

Finally the pair were reunited, Gantua having had her own adventures being held captive by Zira's pride (until finally Zira was defated by Simba).

It came to pass that Ebon and Gantua found an oasis, ruled by Jet and Jafiya. They lived with Jet and Jafiya's pride throughout their wars and finally became part of the Isu Keeney.

Relation to the TLK Universe: Know the Pridelands and entered them during Mohatu's rein - met Mohatu and his son Ahadi. Now lives in a pride aliied with the Pridelanders.
