Personality: Amali is a calm, quiet and loving lioness. It is shown quite by much that she has a big heart. Yet, she fears that others will treat her like a freak once they find out about her abilitites. Before she met Sergei, she is known to have a tough tomboy image. Weeks after their first meeting, she starts becoming herself, the lioness she was inside.

History: Amali was born in the Mlima Pride, although her parents died almost a day after she was born of a disease. King Kiros immediatley adopted her. She grew up thinking that Kiros and Alumine were her parents and Sanura was her sister. She was a very good hunter and soon became the lead hunter. When she became an adult, Kiros and Alumine told her the truth. It didn't surprise her as she knew she looked nothing like Kiros and Alumine. But she still believed in her adoptive parents. Soon, a fire broke out in her pride, killing everybody except Amali. Amali left to find a new home, and deal with the guilty conscience of letting a close friend die. She had seen her good friend near to falling into the fire, and Amali had just turned and run. What she didn't know was, she had been granted a special ability by the Great Kings. This ability was to sense the pain of anyone close to her heart. She wandered for days aimlessly. After what seemed to her like an eon, she bumped into a white lion with a red mane. She had been trying to get some sleep and she figured he attacked her because he thought she was trying to take his territory. They soon made intoductions once things settled down between them. She found out that his name was Sergei and he had never actually had a fmily as he was separated from them at a very young age. He allowed her to stay with him in his den. Soon, she began to live with him and he became the only lion whom she'd had such a good relationship with outside of her adoptive family. SHe also began to wonder whether he meant much more to him than just a best friend. One morning though, they began to feel something wrong. As it turned out, they were being followed by poachers who wanted to kill the large white lion. Sergei managed to get away from them, even with a bullet in his right shoulder. They escaped by hanging onto a tree branch. But, it wasn't strong enough to hold them both. Sergei told her to jump and get away but she wouldn't let him do it. So, he slashed at her to make her let go, right after he told her that he loved her. Rafiki found her crying in his den and told her to go look for him. At first, she wasn't so enthusiastic as she thought he was dead, but soon she began to believe he was still alive. After a long time of searching, they both found each other and Amali couldn't have ben more relieved. But, at that precise moment, Rafiki arrived and told Sergei that Amali was the one who'd change his life. She couldn't take it anymore and confessed to him that she was the one who was responsible for her pride's deaths and that she had a special ability. Sergei was shocked that she didn't trust him enough to tell him, making them both go their separate ways. But, after a few nights of living without him, Amali realized that she couldn't live without him and began making her way back. When she reached, she found Sergei waiting for her and wanting to talk things out. He confessed to not wanting to lose her and she confessed to not being able to live without him. That was the moment they became mates, for life. A few days later, she also told him about her fear of water. She also told him that she was pregnant with cubs. In the months that followed, they found out that she was having twins. In the final month, Sergei was bitten by a spider. Amali knew it wasn't looking good, but he told her it was fine. But, in the night, he began to feel sick and uncomfortable. Amali got Rafiki to find out that the spider was poisonous and its bite was fatal. What made things worse was that there wasn't a cure yet for its bite and Sergei would most likely die. Ironically, at that moment, the cubs began to come. After the cubs were born though, it was clear that Sergei was on his way to the stars. Amali couldn't have been more happy and heart-broken at the same time. She had hoped Sergei would hold on long to see his cubs, but she guessed he needed to leave. Right then, he began to move and she knew he was alive. One of her cubs, the younger girl, gave a mewl that made Sergei return to life again. They named the girl Anuli and the boy Aleksei. Time flew and soon the cubs were the naughtiest pair Amali had ever seen. Alek seemed to be the voice of reason, but Anuli was definitely the brains of the operation and was always dragging her brother into all types of trouble. One day, the two cubs snuck into the Northern Plains, one of the most dangerous places for two cubs. Unfortunately, a stampede started and the two cubs were caught in it. Luckily, Sergei was able to rescue the cubs. They were in big trouble, was Amali was glad they were safe. A year later, when they were young adults, Anuli was caught in a fight with a buffalo. The buffalo drove her far away from home and Amali began to think her daughter was dead. Aleksei comforted his mother along with Sergei and vowed to find his sister if it was the last thing he'd do. And that's what happened. A few months later, Aleksei set out to find Anuli and he returned in two weeks with her and another lion. Amali found out that the lionwas Anuli's friend who had saved her from the buffalo and his name was Kosa. Amali invited him to stay and it soon became obvious that Anuli and Kosa had feelings for each other. Sergei accepted that, but Aleksei didn't and would always act hostile around Kosa.

Relation to TLK: Lived in the Mlima Pride which is close to the Pridelands and is mates with Sergei whose mother is a Pridelander and brother is the mate of the daughter of Sarafina.
