While they grew up they became mates and were as close as ever. But, when Scar took over the pride he banished Zinc from the pride, Conga was very distressed. But, they met up in private and were still together. One day Scar found out and went to kill Zinc, knocking Conga out. When she awoke her mate was dead, but she was carrying Zinc's cub and she knew if Scar found out he would kill them both. She had the cub and she claimed it was Scar's, she hated it but it was the only thing she could do.
