History: Kefir was born to Simon and Janet with his twin sister Kaliona. Just as the two cubs were old enough to eat meat, the threat of disease struck the zoo. Young animals were dying everywhere. Simon and Janet knew it wouldn't be long before Kefir and Kaliona were going to be infected. So, in the middle of the night, Janet and Savannah took both the cubs and left them at the border of the Pridelands before going back. Kefir was scared. Why was his mother leaving him? But, in the stroke of time, Safari arrived and sniffed the cubs. Recognising them as his adoptive mother's cubs, he took them back to Pride Rock to raise them. Kefir grew up getting to know Safari and Uzuri's daughter Adia. They were the best of friends. Nala sometimes remarked that the two reminded her of herself and Simba as cubs. As Kefir grew, he was trained by Safari in fighting and attacking. He became a strong and powerful lion. He also grew up getting closer and closer to Adia. They suddenly found out that their feelings of friendship for each other had deepend into love. Safari and Uzuri were proud of them, though Kaliona felt as if Kefir was neglecting her. Kefir assured her that he never was going to leave her. But, Kefir and Adia had to pass one more obstacle that threatened their relationship: Adia's brother Hadi. He was protective of her and couldn't stand seeing her wih Kefir. One day, while hunting, Adia saw a wildebeest stampede coming towards her. while trying to run away, she was caught in it. Kefir, Hadi and Safari arrived on the scene. Kefir jumped into the stampede and helped her get to safety. Once they were safely out of harm's way, Adia asked him if he was scared. He answered that he was only scared of losing her. Hadi saw the strength of their love and realised that nothing could stop the two loving each other. He let the two carry on with their love. A few days later, Safari took Kefir and Kaliona to see their parents in the zoo. Janet and Simon apologized to them and told them that they had no choice but to leave them. Kefir forgave his parents and returned to his new life.
