Distinguishing Features: Sarabi's looks but smoother features. Brown fur, black ear-rims and coloured paws and thighs with blue eyes. Dark brown tail tuft.

Personality: Janet'spersonality is very similar to Sarabi's. She is a loving, caring mother. She knows exactly what words to say to calm Safari down. She is a very tolerant lioness but won't stand for extreme naughtiness.

History: Janet was born in a different zoo. She was paired up with Simon in the hope of getting a few cubs. They mated, but didn't get cubs. Two nights later, Janet and Savannah heard gun shots ringing in the distance. Then, a lioness with a cub in her mouth came over and left him outside the manager's office. She turned to Janet and told him to take care of her son. Then, she ran off. After she ran away, another gunshot fired. Janet promised herself that she would raise this cub as her own son. The newborn cub got along so well with them, it seemed like he really was born in the zoo. Janet felt sorry about lying to Safari about his parenthood. But she knew Safari would take the news, so she kept her mouth shut. Soon, Safari began to have dreams. Jnaet knew that soon, they would have to tell him the truth. When he was an adolescent, he overheard the manager and a zookpeeper talking about his mother. Safari was mad and took his anger out on Janet, Savannah and Simon. Janet comforted Safari. She was sad to say goodbye to him, two years later. But, days after Safari left, Janet gave birth to three healthy young cubs.
