Personality:   Gena is a compassionate sweetheart who loves making friends and making others laugh. She is very laidback and easygoing, but will be fierce and protective over her friends, family, and others closest to her. A curious personality leads her on many adventures and she is always up for trying something new, or just a friendly competition. She has a very extraordinary sense of hearing and smell. Even though she has been hurt and abandoned she still holds her head high and keeps going. In any group she makes sure that everyone is part of the activity or conversation. Gena is a funloving girl who has a big heart for others and adventure...

Okra - Okra is an Okapi who is Gena's best friend. The two have an extremely strong trust as they're both outcasts...

Relation to TLK:   Gena lives with Okra in the Pridelands.

 

History

Gena never knew her parents as she found herself abandoned as a small cub. Her past was nothing but a blur. Left on the Sahara she quickly became lost, scared, and dehydrated. The scorching sun blazed down on her as her strength finally gave way and she cried out one last time for help. As if in reply, a small old meerkat appeared nearby and walked over to her. He didn't speak, but gestured for her to get up and follow him. Intrigued, Gena willingly got up and followed him as she was led to an oasis in the middle of the desert. She looked around her in awe and turned to thank the old meerkat, but he was gone....

Slowly she gathered her strength from the small lake and prey that she could hunt. As she continued to grow she still lived in the oasis, afraid to leave the only source of food and protection that she had. Finally, after several months of living in the oasis she decided to venture out. She was about half her size at this point and ran towards the Pridelands as she found that it was the best way to go by using her extraordinary hearing ability.

After a few days of traveling, she came to the Prideland border and found a lush paradise awaiting her. She continued through the pridelands, but when she reached Pride rock she was sent away. Gena was confused, but ran to hide. In the depths of the forest she met a young Okapi named Okra. The two quickly became friends and they began to share many adventures together…

(I want to eventually expand her history more and have her past revealed to her, but for now I haven't decided what her past will be...)
