Personality: Uzuri grew up with a more bitter personality than she would have because her mother died when she was a cub and her father left her; she's easily influenced (though she learns not to be so much after she meets Nala), intelligent, quick and can be very headstrong and stubborn.
 

History:
Uzuri is a young lionesses who grew up in Zira's clan.  When she was a cub, her mother died from illness and her father ran off, leaving her alone with the other lionesses.  With no parents, Uzuri learned to take care of herself quickly and looked to Zira as her authority figure.
Though Zira never officially adopted Uzuri as a daughter, she did occasionally help her learn and grow.
Uzuri was a loyal follower of Zira's until her death, and after that instead of instantly joining the Pridelanders, Uzuri stayed behind as an Outlander and plotted to eventually carry on Zira's plan to kill Simba (more so to honor Zira than actual hatred towards Simba).

It wasn't until a little later in life that Uzuri joined the Pridelanders, though some are suspicious that she's there just to get on the inside and kill Simba and Kiara, who she blames for Zira's death, when they least expect it.  Vitani is the only lioness that knows for a fact that Uzuri only joins to Pridelanders to get close to Simba, but instead of ratting her out, she tries to convince her otherwise--stating that Zira's death was her own decision.
While in the Pridelands, Uzuri's values are questioned when she befriends Nala, and finds a different kind of mother in her than she did in Zira, one she eventually may learn to like better.
