Bandit dashed to an old trash can in the junkyard. He banged one of his paws on the door.
"Yo, Tangerine! It's me!" No one answered but Bandit did hear a lot of banging from inside the trash can. Tangerine was hiding her precious bones under an old battered pillow that she slept on. "Not again. Bandit ain't getting any of my bones this time!" Tangerine thought to herself as she kept on putting the bones under the pillow. But Tangerine had completely forgot about a large doberman-sized hole in the back of the trash can. Bandit noticed it and fit half of his body through it. Bandit passed Tangerine a bone. "Thank you Bandit," Tangerine said, not even thinking about what had just happened.
"BANDIT!" Tangerine gasped scooping up the last bone and sitting on it. "How did you get in here?!" She panicked.
"The hole,-duh!" Bandit said as if it was obvious, which it was. "I just thought that I'd ask you if-"
"You could have a bone," Tangerine finished.
"Yep. I've finished with all my other ones," Bandit nodded.
"But you've been coming to my home for a whole week saying that excuse!" Tangerine sighed. "Anyway, I uh- don't have anymore!" Tangerine lied.
"Then what do you call that?" Bandit asked, noticing the bone that Tangerine had sat on. Tangerine sighed and kicked the bone at Bandit.
"Thanks," Bandit said as he picked up the bone in his mouth and squeezed back out of the hole.
"Why me?" Tangerine said to herself as she watched Bandit walk off with one of her bones.

Tangerine came out of her trash can and started to dig. She dug a line in the ground just big anough for anyone to see. Then she made two more lines on the side of that line. She kept digging for about half an hour, then she finally stopped. She stepped back to admire her work. In the ground, right outside her trash can were the words FOR SALE.
"Not bad," Tangerine said to herself.
"Hi, Tangerine!" Somone said. Tangerine gasped, thinking that the voice was Bandits. But it wasn't. It was Elsie.
"Oh, Els. I thought-"
"No need to explain. I guess I'm too freaky to be around. No wonder you're moving away," Elsie sighed, turning around.
"Wait, Elsie!" Tangerine said, jumping in front of her. "Just between you and me. I'm not moving. I'm just pretending to. So when Bandit comes to get some bones from me. He'll think I've left," Tangerine explained.
"Why do you want to do that?" Elsie asked.
"Because Bandit has eaten me Out Of House And Bones!" Tangerine said as firmly as she could. Suddenly, Tangerine heard footsteps. She looked in the direction they were coming from and there was Bandit.
"It's him! I've gotta hide!" Tangerine rushed back inside her trash can.
"Hi, Elsie," Bandit greeted. He was still carrying the last of his bone with him. He sat down and started chewing the last of it. He noticed that there wasn't any marrow left in it so he kicked it away.
"Time to get another one from Tangerine," He decided. Then he noticed the FOR SALE holes in front of Tangerines house. Tangerine's moving away?" Bandit tilted his head.
"Yep. She said that she's been eaten Out Of House And Bones," Elsie said.
"Seriously. I've never really got along that well with her. But where else will I get bones from. I know, I'll go to the archelogical dig down the street. Tangerine will be working on those bones her whole life. And maybe I will, too," Bandit planned.
"Are you sure that's a good idea?" Elsie asked.
"I think it's great. I'll be right back with some giant bones.

"This is ridiculous," Coco said to Bandit. Bandit, Coco and Travis had gone to the archelogical dig to get bones for Tangerine.
"You don't want Tangerine to move away, do you?" Bandit asked.
"Actually-"
Travis dug Coco in the ribs.
"Oh, fine!" Coco sighed.
"OK. Let's get this show on the road," Bandit barked. The three dogs started digging in a corner.
Coco started singing:
Dig, dig, dig for bones
Dig all day and night
Bones are gross when you first see them
But tasty when you bite!
"That song was lame!" Travis laughed.
"At least I can sing," Coco argued.
"Shhh. Guys, we don't want the archeoligists to notice us," Bandit whispered. But it was too late. One of the men had noticed the free dogs and had called to the rest of the group.
"Not good," Travis gulped. The men ran for the dogs. Bandit jumped on one of them and knocked him to the floor.
One of the other men kicked Bandit off the other man. rolled across the ground, but rolled towards Coco and Travis, who were knocked over too. The whole group of men ran towards them. Bandit quickly jumped up and grabbed Travis by his neck scruff. He started running. Coco jumped up and shut his mouth on Bandit's tail. It hurt but he kept running with the men in hot persuit. They eventually got out of the dig site and they skidded to a halt. Bandit's tail hurt from Coco clinging on to it.
"Next time try and hang on to something that won't leave bite marks," Bandit said.
"Sorry," Coco shrugged.

"I'm not sure that this is a good idea," Dash groaned as he started digging a few inches away from the side of the dig site. Bandit, Travis and Coco had got Dash to help them because he was the oldest, the smartest and the fastest digger. The four dogs were planning to dig a tunnel underneath the dig site so they could look for bones underground without being spotted.
"It's the greatest idea I've ever thought of," Bandit said. Dash, Travis and Coco all rolled their eyes. Dash and the others started digging. In a short amount of time they were directly underneath the dig site.
"I can't believe your plan actually worked," Travis sighed in relief.
"I know. I'm a miracle worker," Bandit chuckled proudly. They started digging in different directions on the look out for bones. It didn't take long before Bandit found what they were looking for. A giant bone about the length of Travis. Bandit was about to grab the bone when suddenly he heard the ground cracking above him. A shovel suddenly shot down behind him. A huge lump of soil was dug out. Bandit backed up against the other side of his tunnel. Bandit panicked and rushed past the shovel ignoring the mans cries of: "DOG!" He ran down the tunnel Dash made. The men kept pushing shovels down through the ground, attempting to hit the dogs. Dash started digging like crazy, along with the others. He dug so fast that he didn't care about what way he was going. Suddenly, the ground just seemed to vanish and the four dogs started to fall. When they landed they noticed that they were in a ditch that one of the men had made while looking for historical stuff. The man was in the ditch and noticed the dogs. He ran towards them. Dash and the others started to dig again, faster than they'd ever dug before. In fact, they were so frightened that you could hardly see their paws because they were digging so fast The man was about to hit them with his shovel, but Coco kicked some dirt in the mans eyes, so while the man was tending to his eyes, the dogs managed to get underground
