Charcoal is a street wise and intelligent dog. He is also sweet and caring. He was raised by his father Rocket and his mother. He  doesn't have the best relationship with his father. His father is a con artist and uses his son to get a lot of his con's done. Charcoal was born to  Morticia and Rocket. He was a happy with his mother, she was very protective of him since he was her only pup. His Father Rocket was leader to rival pack to the junkyard dogs. Rocket was always getting into fights or schemes or cons. He would Charcoal to get some of them done which ended up badly as aleast in His and his son's relationship. Charcoal would usually avoid his father when he could usually hangingout with his mother. One   Rocket had asked Chacoal for a flavor. One of the dogs that he had run around with was in the dog catcher's vehicle and he wanted Charcoal to get him out while he and his other friends distracted the dog catcher. Charcoal hated the idea but went along with it anyway because he knew what his father would do if he had said no. While he managed to get his fathers friend out of the dog catcher's vehicle. But as he was about to run away, the dog catcher picked him up and was about to throw him in his truck when a little brown dog came running up and bite the dog catcher causing him to drop Charcoal. Charcoal and the brown dog ran off. Charcoal found out that the little dog's name was Jewel. He thanked her for helping him. They started to become friends and eventually they started to develop feelings for each other.
