Personality: Henna is typically a gruff, no nonsense person, who keeps a one track mind and takes no back talk from anyone. She takes her job as police dog seriously, and isn't about to let it get compromised by joking around. That's not to say she doesn't have a sense of humor, however, quite the opposite. Though she tends to remain cold around strangers, when she's with close friends, she isn't beyond cracking a joke. If you get to know her, she starts to show her friendly side, and warms up to you. When she considers someone a friend, she shows a kind, caring side, even if it is masked behind jokes and gruffness. She's loyal till the end, and is willing to do anything for her owner and friends. Henna also holds justice in a high stance, because despite her views on people, if someone is in need, she'll help them out however she can, even if she doesn't know them. She's overall a tough girl, but beneath that rough exterior is a heart of gold willing to do what she was born to do: protect and serve.
Likes: Her Friends, Going for Runs, Police Officers
Dislikes: Criminals, The Junkyard Dogs, Litter
Friends:
Adam: Henna has known Adam most of her life, and considers him a close friend. She's often willing to tease him about things, and joke around and have fun. However, she isn't above putting him in his place if he gets too over bearing or over protective of the people around him. Overall, she finds that she's close to Adam, and trusts him with her life. Recently, she's began to have feelings for him that may go beyond friendship, but hasn't told him, and intends to hide it from him to leave their friendship intact.
Boris: Boris holds a special place in her heart. They bonded over their shared heritage, and the two have a father-daughter bond. She looks up to Boris a lot, and if she's ever in a jam, she asks him for advice on the matter. He's the only dog who knows her original birth name, and often refers to her as such, or мой Котенок. Henna can speak in Russian with him, and as such, feels closer to her roots, even if she hasn't seen her mother country.
Chevrolet: Henna met Chevrolet by chance, and his highly carefree personality clashes with her typically serious, gruff persona. Surprisingly, the two are actually best friends, and she finds him a wonderful companion. She considers him like a brother, and he helps bring out a more adventurous side, and can make her feel happy in any situation, especially with the grim reality of life.
History: Laika was born to a dog who migrated to America from Russia with her owner, but was abandoned. She was born in a litter of four that put a lot of strain on her mother, who had a hard time finding enough to sustain both herself and her pups. When they were nearly weaned, she decided to leave them at homes in hopes of them living a better life than she did. One by one they were dropped off until Laika was left. Seeing that they were closest to the police station, her mother left her there. After being found by one of the officers, he brought her in and cared for her, giving her the name Henna. She was originally raised in his home with his wife and son as a house dog, but when she showed potential for being a police dog, and after talking it over with some of the other officers, they decided to make her a police dog, and she began training as a young pup.
She began living at the police station in a small kennel, and it was when she was a bit older that she met the new recruit brought in by one of the officers, a German Shepherd named Adam. Though wary at first, they eventually became good friends, and grew closer growing up. Around that time, she found a secret hole in the back fence, and managed to sneak out and explore the streets. It was on the streets that she met Dewey, a newly made street dog who she grew close to quickly. The two explored for about a day until they met two other street dogs, Boris and Toughy. Boris took the two in, and after finding out that Henna had a home, intended to bring her back, but Toughy proposed that they go on an adventure first. During this adventure, Dewey was taken in by an auto mechanic, and given a home. Henna was initially sad at losing her friend, but Dewey, now named Chevrolet, promised he'd come and visit as often as he could.
Once she was returned, she continued getting out to see Boris and Chevrolet, always returning just in the nick of time to make sure the police force didn't catch on. Eventually, she became caught up in her work, and began to see them less, but still managed to keep contact. She became close friends with Adam over time, and began to join him on excursions to meet some of his friends, where she ended up meeting Lady, Tramp, and Trusty. She had heard stories of Trusty helping the police in the past, and grew to admire him. She also met one of Lady and Tramp's daughters, Colette, and when she approached teenagehood, began to playfully flirt with her, however she seemed uninterested. Losing interest in Colette, Henna soon found herself feeling more than friendship for Adam, but because she's unsure what to do, and afraid to ruin their friendship, she's kept it a secret from everyone, even Chevrolet.
Relation to LATT:
-Good friends with Boris.
-Used to flirt with Colette.
-Has encountered Trusty, Toughy, Lady, and Tramp before.
Fun Facts:
-Russian is actually her first language, and she speaks it fluently, but due to growing up in an American environment, she doesn't retain an accent, and fluently speaks English.
-She may be short and compact, but that makes her a power house of muscle, and she's easily able to knock someone down by running at them.
