Personality: At first glance, Bernice is generally a very shy, more loner type of dog. She doesn't really like interacting with other dogs all that often unless she's very familiar with them. Because of this, her number of friends is limited, and she more often than not finds herself alone. But, she used to being alone, and is fine with it, but also fine with having company. Once you get to know her, or are a friend, she generally relaxes around you, and often loves to joke around with her friends. She's also seen as a tomboy, since she prefers not to be a pet, but rather a dog living rough and tumble on the streets. Bernice is also very loyal to those she cares about, but is known for having a hot temper if you get her riled up.

Story: Bernice was born about a year after Buster to the same father but a different mother. She was born and raised on the streets by her mother along with her siblings. Once at the age of 6 months, her mother sent them off to live by themselves and make a place for themselves in the world. While on the streets, she was reunited with her father, who sort of took her under his wing and taught her how to live on the streets. During their travels, they happened upon the Junkyard dogs, who were led by her half-brother, Buster. She stayed there for a while with her father and the others, briefly becoming friends with Mooch and Ruby. However, she grew to despise her brother's nature, especially the way he acted towards her.

One day, while helping out the Junkyard dogs with a heist, her father was hit by a car. Frozen in shock, it was easy for the Dog Catcher, who had been following them, to snatch her up and take her to the pound. When Buster didn't come after her, she grew increasingly bitter towards her brother, and sulked in her cage. Eventually, she was adopted by a young girl, who liked to play dress up and put her in silly outfits. She found this place to be a nightmare, and about a week after living there, managed to escape onto Snob Hill, where she proceeded to meet a young dog by the name of Rawni. The two later on became friends, and Rawni introduced Bernice to Angel.

Relation to LATT: HALF-sister of Buster, used to live with Buster's gang and was once friends with Mooch and Ruby. She's currently friends with Angel, and often visits her at Jim Dear and Darling's house.
