Name: Kandas
Nicknames: "Dynamite"
Sex: Male
Age: He is a little older than Scamp and Angel, which puts him around thirteen or fourteen years old in human years.
Breed: Golden retriever and rottweiler
Personality: If you catch him on a good day, Kandas is a lovable, yet idiotic, teddy bear. He's a master escape artist and a real annoyance to his friends because he has a very short fuse. Kandas is calm when he wants to be, but how will he do that when he doesn't want to? Don't get him upset or you'll see that fiery, underlying attitude flare up. Even though they have very different aspects on life, Kandas and Vincent get along rather well. Kandas loves explosions and fireworks/firecrackers. He also loves anything spicy or bitter, like chili peppers or oranges, things that dogs normally dislike. His love for explosives is where he got his nickname (along with his fiery attitude). Kandas used to believe in love, but that was when his girlfriend was alive. Now, the young dog never wants to fall in love again because he only thinks that his partner will end up like Serbrina did; he thinks that love isn't real because he can't seem to find anyone who he feels the same way as he felt for Serbrina.
Parents: He doesn't like to talk about them
Siblings: He doesn't like to talk about him, but he has a slightly younger brother named Oakly
History: Kandas was a house pet at first, but he ran away from home when he was sill small. The young House Pet made his new home on the streets. Kandas lived as a nomad, traveling from place to place, living off of others; this was his ideal aspect of life along with having fun every now and then.
The small dog wandered around town for a while and eventually learned to like the street life more ad more. Once, while out messing around with some rats, Kandas ran into a group of five puppies. Their leader, Twister was what everyone called him, demanded what Kandas was doing on his gang's turf, and the mutt replied that he was doing them a favor by chasing off some rats that could have gotten into their food stash. With that reasonable response, Twister apologized, but it wasn't on his own, the group's leader was forced to say sorry by a cute Labrador puppy named Serbrina, Twister's baby sister whom he was very protective of.Kandas then made it his duty to stop by the group's hide out every now and then, much to Twister's annoyance.
Soon, Kandas and Serbrina became closer and closer to the point where they became girlfriend and boyfriend. When Kandas felt that it was time for him to move on from living around the gang, Serbrina went with him.
Later, Kandas and his girl ran into T.P's gang, who offered him a place to stay and he agreed since the group was always moving around the streets. But there was a catch: T.P wasn't allowing Serbrina to stay. Maybe he didn't want some snooty little girl living with him and the few others, maybe he just didn't like her, but Kandas wasn't going without Serbrina.
The two left and lived on the streets without protection from other dogs or the dogcatchers, again. Finally, Serbrina told Kandas that, if it was to benefit both of them, he should go on and become part of the gang. Though he disagreed, the Lab told him that she would stay close by in case they needed each other, and the mutt finally went on and joined T.P's strays.
They stayed in touch with each other, and sometimes Serbrina visited the gang just to see Kandas, but one time, after she stayed over her "time limit", which was set by T.P, she was chased out by their leader. She kept running, though, because she had ran into the dog catcher when she tried to get back home.
Later on that night, Kandas went out looking for his girlfriend, only to find out that she wasn't at home. After getting some pointers from local strays around the area, Kandas found out that Serbrina had been hit by the dogcatcher's car while he was chasing her down. She died on the spot.
After that, Kandas went back to T.P's alley and confronted the leader. He left the gang after a huge fight between him and the younger dog.
Kandas stayed as a street dog, and avoided his old gangs whenever possible because how was he supposed to explain to Twister that the only family member he had left had died? The older dog would surly sick his gang on him and Kandas knew he couldn't fight off three older and stronger dogs. As for T.P, who needed him and his gang anyway?
Turns out, the gang did need him. Kandas was good at craking open things life fences and cages and this skill of his came in handy when Iggy was capturned by the pound. Kandas' cage-opening skills were able to save not only the youngest member of the group, but most of the trapped dogs in the pound as well. After that, he stuck with the gang, but was an off-and-on member again before officially settling in with them. He still blamed T.P for the death of his girlfriend, though the leader would always say it wasn't his fault the dogcatcher found her out.
Eventually, Kandas met up with two puppies he had saved from the pound a few months back: Cookie and her twin sister Oatmeal; both were Clumber spaniels and were as close as two sisters could get. Kandas soon took a liking to Oatmeal and hung around her more often than he did with the rest of the gang members. At first, the three of them didn't get along very well and were always at each other's throats; Oatmeal settled down and decided that Kandas wasn't such a bad guy after all. Her abrupt decision shocked everyone, especially Dynamite and Cookie, but those two soon cooled down as well and actually started to like each other.
Another few months passed and a new dog joined T.P's gang. She claimed her name was K.C, but Kandas knew that was just an alias; K.C couldn't have been her real name. Like everyone else he came in contact with, Kandas and K.C clashed on more than one occasion. It took over a couple of months for the two to finally stop bickering over every little thing. Kandas and K.C eventually found out that they had more than one thing in common and spent more time together, but K.C got extremely jealous when she found out that Oatmeal and Kandas were closer friends than she and he were. Kandas brushed it off and kept doing so whenever his friend brought it up and this ended up with both of them falling out of their friendly relationship.
