Runar is the father of Roshan, and the leader of his tribe. During one morning, Runar had to postpone their attack on the smilodons without even being able to rescue his wife Nadia,  who as pursued by Diego, and had Roshan with her. While wanting to go looking for her, he realises that she is dead and decides to continue while also losing hoping of finding his son. Luckily for him, Manny and his group managed to return his son. And offer him in return, he gave the mammoth a symbolic necklace.
