Egbert is one of three baby dinosaurs Sid adopts. He is more orange than his brother Yoko and sister Shelly, and has blue eyes. He was the one who swallowed Little Johnny at the playground, which he then spits out following the demand of Johnny’s mother. But despite his havock, he still loves both his adoptive "mother" Sid and his real mother with all his heart.

His name is a pun referring to an egg.
