Soto is the head of the clan of saber-tooth tigers. He saw his clan numbers decrease by human attacks and now only aspire one thing: To avenge his losses by killing a human baby. For this, it sets up a plan: To attack at sunrise while Diego discreetly sneak through the camping recover the baby in the tipi. But his plan does not go as as expected, and the baby is gone. Soto then entrusts Diego mission to recover the baby and bring him to the clan.

There Soto waits quietly with his clan for Diego’s return, and will be betrayed by him, which cost him his life.

Sotto was far from being a beast and evil character, and simply longed to avenge his clan. He was thoughtful and could calculate the right moment to attack, making the humans an effective opponent. But he did not count on the betrayal of one of his own.
