On December 20th, Disney released a full length film dedicated Togo to their Disney Plus platform. Yes, you read this right. A film about the beloved Togo and his journey in the 1925 serum run has finally surfaced! As a fan of Balto and the true history, this is a big deal to me. I never would have imagined that a day would come where a movie on the event would come to fruition. That being said, my only gripe about this movie is that it's only available to watch on Disney's streaming platform, which makes it more difficult for some people to watch. I can only hope that it will eventually [...]

Hello!
Apologies for this being a little bit late - (meant to be posted December 1st).
As we all know Christmas is coming and I thought we could bring the festive spirit to the Sources by posting a December fan news!
Focusing mainly on some of the more recently-active Sources - TLK Source, SSOTC Source and Bambi Source - we will start off with a few Christmassy/wintery creations (both old and new!) by some of the members on Animation Source . . .

On October 7, 2019, Dreamworks announced that there is a feature film of Spirit: Riding Free (based on the series) in development. The film will be produced on a lower budget and be made by a different animation studio outside of DreamWorks.
The general idea of the story is Spirit's herd has been captured and the girls and their horses go on a mission to rescue them.
What are your thoughts on there being a movie?
Meanwhile the newest [...] Read more!

While saying this may make this news article seem pointless, I would like to point out that there isn't a known date or birth for Balto. Historians don't even know if Balto was born in 1919. The most there is to go by is a quote by Leonhard Seppala, the man who bred and raised Balto, mentioned that he was six years of age during the serum run in the Cruelest Miles book. Unless someone in Seppala's family found the records of his birth and passed them along to the Cleveland Museum, this news may or may not be factual.
Anyway, today, March 2nd, the [...] Read more!
