Welcome to the 3rd Animation Source Choice Awards! (the møøse crossed the road)
Each year, Animation Source hosts an awards show honoring the best in animation from the previous year. (no, really. my sister was painting her knails and the møøse came up and bitte her hande) The way the ASCAs work is this: you, the members of Animation Source, look at the list [...]

1 commentAfter much consideration, and encouragement from other members, I have decided to revive the Animation Source Choice Awards once more and see how it goes.

Not to be confused with the Animation Source Awards, which honor members of Animation Source and has been discontinued permanently, the ASCAs honor the best in animation from the previous year. The first year Animation Source hosted the awards, 157 people voted, and the winner of Best Picture was Rio. Last year, however, less than 20 people voted altogether, and I decided to cancel the awards. However, enough people have expressed [...]

3 commentsHello Spirit source.
You may or may not have seen, but we have a new tag for characters.
“Realistic or unrealistic/sparkle.”
Unrealistic characters are allowed. This tag is simply to make it easier for people who only want to see realistic characters.
What determines realistic or unrealistic?
If you can’t find a photo that match or are like the markings you give your character, then tag it as unrealistic.
I made this to help explain using a bay:

2 commentsAccording to BoxOfficeMojo's release schedule, Pixar films The Good Dinosaur and Finding Dory have had their release dates pushed back.

The Good Dinosaur, set to be Pixar's next major release, was due out next June, but now it has been pushed back to November 25, 2015. There may be several reasons for this, but the largest one might be the fact that Jurassic World (aka Jurassic Park 4) is being released during Summer 2015, and perhaps Pixar wants to release a dinosaur film immediately after, while audiences are still on a dinosaur high. Another reason might be because the film simply [...]

Here's a modelsheet he did for the episode "I Only Have Ice For You" : (click to enlarge)
Also, a quote from the Don Rosa Collection book set :
"'TaleSpin' was an interesting show -- it was based on old adventure movies of the 1930’s which was certainly one of my interests! I soon was getting enthusiastic about giving it my best shot. I even did storyboards for my own scripts for free, trying to make myself valuable. A screenwriter who can also do his own storyboards was just [...]

104 commentsOver the last few days there have been characters submitted that are against the rules. So here is a review of those rules again:
Hello Animation Source!
"Mods have noticed all the problems going on with characters and what is accepted.
The first and probably one of the most important rules is that sparkle dogs/horses/lion ect... are not allowed. And if you aren't sure what a sparkle character is, it is any character that has an unnatural color that you would not find on the regular animal. So for almost any animal, that includes the colors blue, green, [...]

19 commentsOn April 18, 1983, 30 years ago today, The Disney Channel began broadcasting all over the world. In the last 30 years, it has aired numerous Disney movies, television series, and everything in-between. If you were born anytime after that date, chances are you watched Disney Channel a LOT growing up. It's awesome to see such a milestone from the company, considering their original reliance on ABC to broadcast their content. (They now own ABC. Coincidence?)

6 commentsEvery year since 2007, the Animation Source Awards have taken place to honor members of Animation Source. However, the popularity the awards once had is definitely not quite there anymore; last year, only 10 people total voted in the final tally, and most of those went to one category instead of the potential dozens offered. Due to this, there is consideration to cancel the awards show this year.

I've always thought that all the main characters had to be there at the same time at the moment of the recording, but it seems not! For "Grual & Unusual Punishment", R.J. Williams (Kit) and Sally Struthers (Rebecca) both did their recording at a different time than the others! Fortunately, this wasn't noticeable at all in the final episode.

Not much is known about this sequel, except that portions will take part around the beaches of California. Most of the cast from the first film will be returning except for Alexander Gould, whose voice of Nemo is too adult-like now to allow him to reprise.
This will be the sixth Pixar sequel, after Toy Story 2 and 3, Cars 2, Monsters University (coming out this summer), and Planes (a Cars spin-off, coming to theaters this Thanksgiving). Finding Dory is currently looking [...]
