Animation Source - Under attack!

Hello everyone,

Sorry for the alarming and dramatic title, but I think all of the persons here has the right to know what's going on. Animation Source got entirely hacked, yesterday night.

The troll hacked a lot of moderator/administrator accounts to spam and to give permissions to his double-accounts and thus, made himself an easy way to take control and destroy the sites. I decided to demod every single staff member on the AS sites to avoid their powers to be misused. . 

Then the hacker striked back and started to delete a bunch of accounts - including some staff accounts. I had no other choice than to close every site down, for safety purpose. I've only let the Animation Source hub open, to allow the members to log in.

 

To conclude, I did everything that I could to protect AS. For the moment, everything is under control - we must all remain calm. Sadly, Steet is currently in vacation and will only get back in a few days. He dosen't even know that AS got hacked to such a high level. If we're lucky, we shall find a permanent and useful way to get rid of this troll. Until then, every site will remain temporary closed. I don't want to take any risk.

The webranking will surely be affected, but if this decision can prevent our sites from being destructed, I think it's worth the sacrifice.

Don't listen to Skulblaka_Shur'tugal. He's a troll and he is the one responsible for all of this. I saw him spam the shoutbox on multiple occasions during that fiasco and then later act like he was hacked. I don't believe him, I think HE'S the troll.

It's never a good thing when a site gets hacked like this. People have a right to feel upset/angry a little. Just don't have an emotional breakdown over it, leave that to the people who actually have to clean the mess. Hopefully the hacker will get his, and things can get back to normal. Good job trying to protect the site Grey, and good luck.

Comparing a 'hacking' of a fansite to 911 is despicable. Period. You really should be ashamed of yourself. Was anyone injured/killed in this 'hacking'? NO. Did it change people's lives? NO.

I was obviously being sarcastic in my first post. I just find it hilarious that you all are freaking out about nothing.

Braveheart, before we start telling others what to do, maybe you should consider going to school and learning the difference between threw and through. Also, it would be nice if you knew what an actual crisis was. You're probably a kid who thinks every little problem is the end of the world. This is nothing like 9/11 and if you think it is, you need to go to a psych ward, NOW. Also, it is "listen," not "lesson" and "too" not "to." If you're too focused on the "hacking" of this site, you really need to get a life. Sorry, but that's pathetic.

Tibbeh-> Before we start telling kids what to do these days, lets start by getting threw this crisis. It might not effect you that much of what was going on here for a couple of days; but it did effect lots of fans on here that really cares about this site very much. It's almost like when 911 happened, except different. It effect a lot of Americans and around the world, that everybody was stuck on this topic of why would someone do this in America. Animation Source is like 911. The hacker is the terrorist, AS is the world trade center and the Fans of AS are the people who are sad and shock of what happened to this site. So lets calm down and let the funs go and focus on who started this and why. Ok? I'm glad your telling the funs to do something better to do. But that will just make things worse and also, they might not lesson to you, no offense. But right now there to focus on what happened here, and they can't get out of it.

I know I'm not a member, but I really like reading the fics on this site. It's a shame it was hacked :( I hope you sort it out soon, and that nothing else goes wrong. Btw, when are you moving sites to Yopalaboom? Maybe now would be a good time?

Red Devil-Oh. Well sorry then; I thought you were someone else because your angry words reminds me of that person that had the same temper that you have right now. Witch is a ok thing; but in a serious way. lol And also, I can tell you why they didn't put a Alpha and Omega source on here; is because the wolf acting didn't really act like real wolves. They were acting more like humans then like regaler animals. But it's a kids film so, why argue about this. Of course I haven't seen the movie; and I don't know if I agree or disagree, so....whatever.

Get a frigging life, LEAVE THE SOURCES, and just stop thinking that "your little hacking skills are cool". Well, they're not you nerdy troll. Why do you be to ruin wonderful website creations? Why? Hopefully, this troll will leave. Yes, quite doubtful but, we MUST find him/her. Or else, well, truly I don't know but it IS possible the hacker could return and delete accounts be more destructful, etc.
But, the hacker may not return considering that everyone knows now. Everyone just hang tight. Thanks.

@Red Devil: I didn't mean the ANIMATION it's self like the movie. Rio does have great animation indeed lol I mean the actual SITE GRAPHICS that create the layout for the source site (Banner, menu images, etc.) If your so set on getting a answer ask steet yourself.

@ Maverick: Why though? So what if Rio had good animation. Alpha and Omega had good animation, I thought it was good as Rio. Rio is an awesome movie BTW. I just want an actual legitimate reason for not having one. Animation quality is not an excuse in my book. I am sick of people kindly asking and not getting a legitimate reason. :mad:
