Hiroshi, a setter mix, was a former minion of Kamakiri and then of Yusuke. After Hougen's defeat, he followed Yusuke with another comrade to the village of Higashinaruse in order to avoid the Ohu's army. They pretended to be Ohu's soldiers and forced pet dogs to give them food. A pet dog recognized the three as Hougen's sided but they killed him, as a warning for the others: this was their end if they told the Ohu army about their presence.

When Koyuki's little brother, Kotetsu, left to join the army, Yusuke's gang started to track him and planned to kill him. Koyuki and Chako arrived to the fight scene and Chako ran away to tell Ohu's army about it. Yusuke sent Hiroshi after her and he found her hiding next to a stream. Weed showed up right after that and pushed Hiroshi into the water.

Weed ordered Hiroshi to leave and he did. He was never seen again.
