Yusuke was a former minion of Kamakiri. After Hougen's defeat, Yūsuke and his two minions went to the village of Higashinaruse in order to avoid the Ohu's army. They pretended to be Ohu's soldiers and forced pet dogs to give them food. He even had a thing for Chako, Koyuki's half sister. A pet dog recognized the three as Hougen's sided but they killed him, as a warning for the others: this was their end if they told the Ohu army about their presence.

When Koyuki's little brother, Kotetsu, left to join the army, Yusuke's gang started to track him and planned to kill him. Kotetsu met with Weed, so the gang decided to kill them both. Yusuke used unfair tricks and ripped off Kotetsu's tail, but was eventually defeated by Weed. The soldiers appeared and Moss punished Yusuke by almost crushing his head. Yusuke's gang was spared and they ran away, never to be seen again.
