Shōgun is a large white Gelada. He is the leader of the Japanese macaque clan and the main villain of Monkey Arc in Ginga Densetsu Weed manga.

He is very evil and will kill anyone, even those of his own clan who stands against him.

He feeds on puppies as he enjoys drinking their blood mixed with liquor, but if his followers can't provide him new puppies, he will capture and eat monkey babies from them.

When he tries to eat the baby Pepe, Weed’s and Yukimura’s groups attack him. He kills many of Yukimura’s dogs by swinging his axe through them before trying to escape. However he loses his axe and gets badly wounded. He leaps from a cliff, grabbing one of the ledges below and is greeted by his follower, Tobizaru who gives the axe back to Shogun. Shogun kills Tobizaru with it as punishment for abandoning him, but Tobizaru is holding on the axe, forcing Shogun to let go and lose his weapon permanently as he fass down the cliff.

Shōgun is now surrounded by dogs and he leaps down to confront them. He grabs a log as a weapon and during the fight he stabs Yukimura's stomach with it. Shōgun continues to fight against the dogs, but gets badly wounded by Yukimura then finished off by Gosaru and his clan.

It was said that Shogun originally comes from Ethiopia, but it's unknown how he get to Japan.
