Place of Origin: Reasonably cozy home in the Southern Alps

Basic Personality:  Fiercely independent, arrogant and always very frank. She is also extremely loyal but can be selfish in defense of her independence. She’s a ruthless fighter in the ring and has a certain domineering presence.

In depth analysis: She’s about as subtle as a brick and has absolutely no qualms with being brutally honest. She’s been trained to be a fighting dog and she’s a damn good one, thus she has a quick temper and easily resorts to violence/ unnecessary force when things turn sour. She’s as stubbornly independent as they come, so she’s not great at following orders. She will stand up for what she thinks is right and go about things her own way. She is a fierce ally and extremely loyal to a cause, the only issue being that she rarely feels that someone else is worth fighting for-she was never taught the value of selflessness.  She usually looks out for number one because that’s how it is in the fighting ring. Beru seems to blur the line between “right and wrong” constantly, with her ruthless attitude and her prickly personality. She’s not “evil” by any means, just extremely difficult and fairly arrogant. However, her arrogance is well deserved seeing as she was undefeated in several dog fighting leagues for 2 years. She hates to lose anything and is extremely competitive by nature, thus some (idiotic) males feel uneasy in her domineering presence and she’s just fine with that. She always thought they were the weaker sex anyway…

Background Information: Beru along with her 8 siblings were born to a Great Dane show-dog named Rain after Hougen assaulted her while seeking shelter in her shed during a blizzard. This happened right before Rain was to be bred to a Great Dane stud named Roi. Thus when the pups were born her owner thought they were the result of a successful breeding between Roi and Rain. Beru was initially fed this lie by Rain as well. The owner planned to sell the “Roi x Rain” litter and profit from it. However, many pups in the litter including Beru were not “show marked” and had to be sold as “companions”. Her owner took no care in making sure these “companion” dog buyers were legit and Beru quickly fell into the wrong hands after a series of shifty transactions. Right before she left, her mother came clean to the remaining siblings about their true heritage. Rain hoped telling her daughter what a devil their father was might give her some courage for the uncertain challenges of the world. Albeit misguided, the truth did help Beru survive the training that lay ahead. She knew she was more than just a failed show-dog by heritage.

 She was trained mercilessly. Affection/attention and basic needs were entirely conditional upon her success in training and fights. She soon learned to become the best, or die trying as the trainer’s previous dogs had. Beru was tested, until finally she was broken and remade into the She-Devil. She could fight females easily, but she was the first female to take on males in quite a few years. Males that taunted her for being a female often found they had just made their last great mistake. She blew them out of the water just as easily as she’d won the female only league. The only males she truly respects are her brothers, who she cares deeply for.

Possible futures: At some point she will tire of the dog fighting world and following her trainer’s relentless routines and orders will begin to irritate her. After helping her brother Inkblot on his large undertaking against King, she will find solace in living somewhere unfettered and away from her past life. 

Her relation to Ginga is being a direct descendent to Hougen and various encounters with minor cannon characters in the future.

*  Roi is her registered sire on her papers… Which have probably been misplaced or destroyed. For part of her life she honestly believed Roi was her father.
