Maxim is one of the three majors of the Russian army dogs and their third platoon leader. He is Lydia's brother and later becomes an Ohu soldier.

Maxim was a war dog. He swam to Hokkaido from Russia together with Victor, Aram, Lydia, Bozlev and his pack in the hope of conquering the island as his own. He killed two of Hakuro's sons in the battle against Hakuro's pack which resulted in the latter's death. Once Jerome is taken hostage, it is Maxim who greeted him after he awakened and orders him to tell him about Ohu. It is him who told Victor to not kill Jerome, as having him alive could be useful against the Ohu dogs. Maxim, later, gets saved by Akame from an ambush that Victor set on him and he gets brought to Ohu. He decides to get back to make Lydia and Aram join. Unfortunately, Aram only pretended to agree and later, he showed his true colors and stood next to Victor when Maxim was being badly beaten up, giving him a final blow that sent him down the gorge where Gin was held hostage. Maxim passed out. Surprisingly alive, he appeared in the battle between the Russian Dogs and the Ohus soldiers and he was nursed back to health by Daisuke and Hidetoshi.

He is currently alive and, after the battle, he saw back to his homeland to tell his father that Hokkaido is not a land for them and they should keep living in Russia.
